My worst one so far has been a high school kid in his real school football gear. Agree the wee little ones are the best.

I'm waiting for the little dears to show up so I can give them weed gummies.

Kidding, obvs. We've been here 10 years and stopping buying candy to hand out after the 2nd year. Between year 1 and year 2, added together, we got 9 kids total. I'm not wasting money on buying full price candy for that. So, now we stick our organics & blue bin in front of the steps and relax. When we lived in Strathmore, we usually got a minimum of 100 kids, due to the fabulous haunted house on the corner. The highest number of kids we got there was 160. Kind of happy to just relax these days.

Quietest night so far that we've had since moving to this house 9 years ago.

Only 11 kids so far.

My neighbourhood is a bit of an enclave of geezers. Only 31. A little on the low side.

I'm shocked that there would be so many families in Hillhurst. I know there was a fair number of families from when my kid played hockey and we had players from Hillhurst but 181 is a crazy number. Lots of kids traveling to the neighborhood to get better candy maybe?

Agreed. I find it so weird when people complain about teenagers coming by. Half the time, you can't even be sure if someone just looks big for their age. I am sure no one breaks the bank on giving some candy to kids and teens who are out trying to have some fun with their friends. Lighten up.

Yeah, we're a bit a destination neighbourhood, because there is a lot of decorated houses and most places are participating. Lots of parking at the community centre so it's convenient for people travelling in as well.

I just had 2 teens come back for a second round. I only noticed because one was Thor and one had a Nuegent-Hopkins jersey on.

Had enough bags of Humpty Dumpty cheezies for 90 kids to start the night, went out to pick up another cases when I got down to 10 left and haven’t had a single kid stop by since. Basically if things don’t pick back up I’m gonna have mad gut rot in the morning.

That's ####ing weird.

I think I felt weird about it by the time I was 12 of 13. What self-respecting 17 year old is still doing this ####? Go get a job! Buy your own candy!

My front porch light isn't working due to an electrical issue so I opted not to hand out candy this year. Didn't want the little kids climbing the stairs in the dark. I watched Talk to Me instead and am sufficiently spooked. Happy Halloween, everyone.
