^^ This!

I'll be driving to Calgary tomorrow so hope I get there in time for the game and a lot of alcohol as I fully expect us to lose badly.

No one on CP (with a very few regular exceptions) is EVER happy about Flames losing to the No Goods.

Exactly. If they lose this game, the entire city will have a complete meltdown. He's likely still injured, but the Oilers will definitely rush him back in the hopes that he can at least get them 2 points and stop their losing streak.

Also, having McDavid on the ice automatically guarantees the Oilers will get at least 6 or 7 PPs and a 5 on 3 with two minutes left if they're trailing. None of that happens without him in the lineup.

What is 1-2 weeks anyway I’ve never seen that before.

The Oilers are a joke.

Miracle on Whitemud lol.

Ron McLean will be unbearable tomorrow.

If McDavid plays tomorrow and Huska has any balls at all he tells the boys to play him extra physical. Give them the PP's, smash 97 every shift.

I like the idea. I feel that Huska has some ####ty plan that won't pan out though.

Pretty sure the players haven't followed his plan

So you’re saying this team is all talk and no action?

This. If anyone on here has a route to get to the players, can you please pass along this message and get it to all the players. Break them. Just like they said and achieved in the second round of the playoffs. Here’s you’re chance. Break them. End them. Blow up their team. Here’s your chance for retribution. Johnny and Tkachuk left, your turn. Mcdavid and Dry, goodbye. Maybe it’s enough to rally the guys around something and work together on a goal, bring this team together and be their turning point.

Regardless, the most important thing here is, anyone with a connection, pass it all. Break em. Get woodcroft that ugly, arrogant human fired too.

Nobody should have to pass along that message. The players should already know and want it.

Not sure why people have an issue with McDavid trying to be back in time for tomorrow's game - it (trying) was a given, the moment they labelled it 1-2 weeks.

People get worked up about the weirdest things sometimes.

This team needs to bottom out further. Nothing like McDavid putting up 7 points in a blowout to remind everyone in the organization to stop holding on.

My guess is it's all for show so people don't just stay home en masse tomorrow.

They'll play up the idea that he might make the heroic comeback, then they'll announce just before the start of the game that he won't be playing -- then he'll miss another 3 to 4 weeks.

It's like when Gio was hurt just prior to the trade deadline in 2015 and they had him participate in the warm-ups against the Islanders just so other teams wouldn't know he was done for the season and try to take advantage of the Flames in a trade.

If there's one thing the Flames should get credit for, it's for being able to find and develop talent within their organization and turn them into decent players with lengthy careers. Meanwhile the last player the Oilers developed into being an all-star level player was probably Hemsky 20 years ago..
Oh now it’s just all star players? Skinner was an all star just last year.

Quote:
I feel bad for Skinner who Stuart Skinner, who may have developed into a starting goalie given the right opportunity. Meanwhile he's languishing in Edmonton, and is already being thrown out of town.
Who’s throwing him out of town?

I’m going to the game tomorrow. Hope both teams get some passion back. Pretty disappointing season so far for both clubs I’d say. At least one team will have a win tomorrow.

Weird that you consider that a group of successful developed players.
