"can't catch a break"

The whole team is built on breaks.
I asked a group of Oilers fans to name the last player they developed that wasn't a top ten/lottery pick. They couldn't name a single one.. instead I received the common replies "Flames suck", "What have the Flames done lately", "Who cares, we have McDavid". Give me a break.

If there's one thing the Flames should get credit for, it's for being able to find and develop talent within their organization and turn them into decent players with lengthy careers. Meanwhile the last player the Oilers developed into being an all-star level player was probably Hemsky 20 years ago. The only exceptions are those who LEAVE Edmonton and salvage their careers elsewhere (Dubnyk, Marino, Schultz, etc).

I feel bad for Skinner who Stuart Skinner, who may have developed into a starting goalie given the right opportunity. Meanwhile he's languishing in Edmonton, and is already being thrown out of town.

Of course every one on the planet knows about the Swift Kelce thing.

I'm just saying she would never date McDavid as he would look like her inbred cousin standing next to her.

The part of me that distrusts the NHL is now wondering if Andersson got 4 games because it was an easy opportunity to give EDM a better chance in the Heritage Classic (since they would have known about this injury before they decided on the suspension).

Which reminds me, I still can't remember where I left my tinfoil hat...

He looks more like her uncle than her cousin.

It wouldn't surprise me, either, if they exaggerated the length of time he'd be away so that they can play up the super-human recovery he undergoes in order to play the Heritage Classic.

Make sure to help those tossed jerseys reach the pitch.

It's a much longer distance for them to travel.

They were at .300 with him in the lineup. How are they going to be better without the best thing since sliced cheese?

The Andersson suspension was announced at 5:10pm Saturday night. The Oiler game where McDavid was hurt started three hours later.

It wouldn't surprise me. It might be the thing that gets the group to buy in and play defence first. That is pretty big assumption though.

Just as long as Evander Kane doesn't get more ice time.

They gotta fill in the pregame show somehow. Nothing like force feeding us the fact that he was a super specimen and recovered in record time like they did after Gio busted his knee

Saving grace is the conference as a whole isn't exactly building a huge lead on them.

The East has 10 teams with more wins than loses. West only has 6.

Won't take long for those numbers to change to many with more wins than losses. Once they play the Oilers.
