That implies the Flames will score at least 3 goals. Which is crazy talk.

I guess if Rene Bourque can score 2 in the last Heritage Classic anything is possible.

The Oilers rushing a player back from injury? That's unpossible!

On the flipside. What will happen if oilers markstrom makes an appearance and they also get shutout?

Nothing,

Oilers are "cup contenders" they are expected to win no?

The sun did rise today in Edmonton.

Better news on the horizon for #Oilers? Sounds like the plan is for Connor McDavid to practice this evening outdoors at Commonwealth Stadium. Let’s see how he feels this morning.

All part of the plan, Connor returns and leads the Oilers to victory over the Flames.

I know that he stirs the drink for the Oilers, and they're somehow worse than we are so far this season, bit wouldn't it make sense to let the guy heal up a little longer than is ABSOLUTELY necessary?

Yes they do.
Kings and Lions gear seems to have the most appeal there for obvious reasons, but you see all of the major sports teams represented. Africa is awash in second-hand textiles.

Pro tip. If you are ever traveling there, don't bother bringing much clothes. You can just grab a shirt or shorts. You might even get lucky and score an Edmonton Oilers 2024 Stanley Cup champions T. I bet there sitting in a warehouse somewhere right now!

The game is 8 days from the injury. 1-2 weeks fits.

Not like the Flames will take advantage of it. He's going to score at least a hatty.

Remember when Draisaitl on one leg owned the Flames in the playoffs??

Markstrom is going to give up 10+ with McD in now.

The players obviously discussed their effort and execution already prior to playing the Blues and still came out with the actual worst effort of the season. Huska had to literally bench Huberdeau in the 2nd period, he was playing so poorly.

Multiple guys already acknowledged they need to play better, execute better and look at their game in the mirror. Still brought their very worst the very next game.

Interviews and comments are worthless unless they show it. I'd bet the vast, VAST majority of people on CP would be completely fine and satisfied even if the Flames lost tomorrow but came out with a full 60-minute effort and just got beat by the other team being able to execute better, despite it coming against their biggest rival. The aggravation is hearing the words but seeing the actual lack of effort and inability to bear down.
