I honestly don't remember the hard work after the all-star break. I remember he had 1 goal in the final 14 games of the season. Also, didn't we play mostly teams out of the playoffs to finish the season off? Was he playing with Backlund or Kadri at that point 5 on 5?
He was the second highest point getter (and IIRC highest even strength) after Toffoli in the last part of the season (say March-April). And he played with Backlund by then. And no matter who they were playing, it was a huge push to try and get in the POs at that time, and he came through as much as anyone.

Agents (especially Walsh) go off without their client's say-so all the time and then they convince their client it was all OK. We forget that these guys are 20-something kids, and the agents wield a lot of clout with them.

I would do it. I think Frost has top 6 potential, I don't see that in Dube.

Would for sure do Dube for frost. Or ice, or mist, or sleet even.

It makes me kind of sad that a local player has become the CP whipping boy.

Ah, he's kind of collateral damage.

The hate is oozing over the edges of the Huberdeau and Kadri bowls and spilling onto to pretty much everyone.

Hell, the only player who doesn't really deserve to be dumped on this season is Mangiapane.

I wonder if teams would avoid dealing for Dube and all the 2018 World Junior players? Who knows what will happen there...

Nothing will happen there. The media is not even talking about it anymore. The league just let it fade away, I doubt we ever hear of any outcome to that debacle now.

I don’t think that is the case.

If you can get Frost for cheap I think its a great buy low opportunity. I would like a team that had Frost and Zary as your young centers. Have to figure out what to do with Kadri or Lindholm to make room for both of them. Would be nice to move one or both for prospects on the verge.

Yes, Bourque was serving a suspension when he was traded to Montreal. They waited until the Flames game had started that night to finalize it so it would count as a game against the suspension.

Something about Morgan Frost bothers me. He seems like a soft player with a soft head. I think the only reason he did well last year was because he had Torts on his ass constantly. Could be an upgrade on Dube with his two-way play though.

This is what is going to happen with this team

1. I think reality has finally set in, your not going to see Conroy sign any of our pending UFA's, nor would they want to sign here, I can see Conroy getting 2 first round picks this year, plus some 2nd's/prospects for the other UFA's.

2. I Think we see the organization finally win a draft or two.

3. This rebuild is going to take a long time(7 plus years)we are lacking the high end talent needed to be successful in the NHL.

4. Husky and Conroy will be here for a long time, makes no sense to move them, the players suck, GM and coach can't change that.

5. One of two things will happen with Huberdeau and Kadri, either put on LTIR or bought out eventually, but won't happen for 4-5 years, when the organization needs money to sign their shiny new draft picks.

6. I can really see management putting an emphasis on drafting Canadian players, this organization has literally been burnt so many times by American players wanting to go back to the states

7. Wolf will be here next year full-time.

In the end it will actually work out well, 3-4 years in the new building, the new team will finally start delivering a successful product.

Sounds like they need to put emphasis on not drafting American-born arsonists.
