Mangiapane put up 46P in 39GP under Huska in 2017-18
Hathaway had 19P in 18GP under Huska in 2017-18
Dube had 4P in his first 6GP in the AHL under Huska in 2017-18
Jankowski had 56P in 64GP, in 2016-17 followed by 8P in 6GP in 2017-18
E. Poirier had 42P in 55GP as a rookie in Adirondack under Huska in 2014-15
Baertschi had 25P in 36GP in Adirondack in 2014-15
Lomberg and Jooris were used in the bottom half of the lineup and performed as such.
Which offensive talent in the Flames system am I missing? Klimchuk? Shinkaruk?

Maybe the red wings are worth adopting. They wear red!
How is it they can play so much faster start to finish while on a back to back with travel?
F u Flames. Clearly its a case of a group of guys just not wanting it enough

Well yes those guys but out of those forwards you mentioned how many went on to be impact guys? It isn't hard to put up points in the AHL, that league is full of guys that put up points but never made the show. Hathaway became a useful 4th liner. Dube has topped out so far as a 3rd liner imo. Jankowski who was a 1st round pick with plenty of tools busted. So did Poirier and Baertschi. Lomberg and Jooris developed into what they always were going to be, border line 4th liners. So out of all those players you just mentioned tell me who was developed into an impact player??
Thanks for proving my point.

Huska is probably preaching all the right things for this group. But end of the day he can't pull enthusiasm out of players who won't show it.

Tanev's been great, but they probably should have sold high on him over the summer. He's been pretty healthy as a Flame, but with the way he plays, that breakdown is always possible.
Hopefully he picks it up.

You realize that most of our impact players never spent time in the AHL during Huska's 4 years there. Monahan, Tkachuk, Gaudreau, and even Bennett never went to the AHL.
The obvious impact player is Mangiapane. How many impact forwards came up from the Flames AHL team in the 10 years before, or after Huska? He didn't 'stifle' his forwards offensively in the AHL which is shown by them putting up points.

Ok, you fanboy over the guy. It is good to know that given an empty position on a team looking to compete in the playoffs you would choose Ryan Huska. I think you might be on an island there. Again, all you showed was that he couldn't develop promising young forwards into NHL players.

Are there people really pretending this is a 10 game issue?
The team is mediocre at best on paper, have been mediocre for the last 5 years (at least), have started playing mediocre and have a less than mediocre record against a weak schedule.
Do we really need to pretend that we need more time to see what they are? That we haven't had ample amount of evidence to show us that they aren't good enough?

I am not sure Huska is the problem or even a terrible coach but the likelihood that the best coach or a coach who would have answers to the problems this team has just spent the last 5 years as an assistant coach on a team that missed the play-offs roughly as often as they made it with zero play-offs success over that time is pretty low.

It's funny you can't think of any forwards then? Ferland maybe? Backlund had 1 game in the AHL. Prust, and Bouma aren't exactly impact players. Ruzicka didn't turn into 1 yet. Before that it would have to be Lombardi probably.
I'm pushing back on an argument I don't agree with. You're simply making a narrative that Huska stifles forwards and offense. I'm saying that's not the case, and gave you my reason as to why... I guess not running for a pitchfork right away and joining the mob makes me a fanboy.
