It's certainly not the start I was hoping to see from Sharangovich. Looks like he's lost the battle for the spot on that line, and doesn't hold a spot on either PP.
We took a risk on him...hopefully it pays off.
Much less of a risk with Sharangovich than still having Toffoli and either seeing him walk or signing a 32+ year old to a new contract in my mind.

Wasn't Sharangovich a better 5v5 player statistics wise?
If he can keep producing 5v5 I think he will get back on the PP, but if he has good 5v5 numbers and Coronato goes off on the PP we have replaced Toffoli pretty much and thats not counting what Coronato can do 5v5.
For me, I would switch Dube & Sharangovich. Then top 2 lines become little bit better in own zone.
I actually think that's why they have it this way.
Dube hasn't been good defensively, especially on a line with Kadri.
I think they think that Sharanovich is better defensively providing a bit more shelter for Kadri/Coronato.
Where on the top line with Huberdeau and Lindholm they can use Dube's speed a bit more and don't need as much support defensively (especially if Huberdeau can keep his defensive effort from last season).

Huska pretty much said the same thing.
Sharangovich automatically plays the F3 its in his nature and having a player like that will give them the opportunity to take more chacnes.
Second line looks a bit underwhelming for top 6 ice time deployment.
Kadri is obviously legit but Coronato is a rookie and Sharangovich has been meh.
Hope I’m proven wrong.
Third line is a known quantity, no concerns there.
Fourth line should be fine, will be interesting to see if those 3 have any chemistry.
And how Ruzicka performs there specifically.

Yeah I don't quite understand why Weegar isn't on either of the units.
Sharangovich and Weegar should be locks for PP time and it is quite odd that neither is seeing practice time with the man advantage right now over Dube, Ruzicka and Hanifin.

With all due respect to Weegar, who's great, being the PP QB over Meyers, Hunt, Bear, Barron, Joseph and Middleton isn't a high hurdle.
True, but from what I watched he looked very good, very comfortable in that role. Not sure what Hanfin brings to PP2. Hope to see more Weegar in that spot this season.

Yeah, Conroy mentioned that Sharangovich is good on the D side, so I think you are probably right on that.
Lines look good, except for the $16-mil third line.
The one that was are most consistent line 5v5 last year? It’s not the most ideal but that is basically a 2B 3rd line especially if Backs can hit 50+ points again and Mangi bounces back a bit as well.
