Does anyone recall if Weegar was used on the PP this summer with Team Canada and did he do well?

Yeah I don't quite understand why Weegar isn't on either of the units.

Might be because he is on the top PK unit? Not sure.

He must have been on the PP. It looks like Weegar was the top scorer for team Canada - 3g 8a - 11 pts.

I am sure he will be on the PP before long.

Greer - Ruzicka - Duehr

This is the best usage of Ruzicka IMO, because putting him up on the wing slots Hunt into the 4th C spot.

I like those lines, probably be where you expect everyone to start but expect Coranato to be on L1 before long.

Hanifin on the PP is just a fail - plays die on his stick because finding open guys is the worst part of his game. Instead, it's dump it in the corner, or take a 60' wrist shot.

Weegar is infinitely better as a PP quarterback

I love Rasmus but I’m a bit surprised they haven’t tried out Weegar on pp1 in preseason.

Isn't Hunt a LW?

For me, I would switch Dube & Sharangovich. Then top 2 lines become little bit better in own zone.

I would much rather have Weegar on PP1 he showed out for Team Canada and on the PP, but I will trust what Savard has for these guys hes already made some changes so he probably has not liked what he has seen.

He talked about Coronato pushing into the top unit and looks like that has happened for the time being.

I wonder if they have been vanilla in the preseason because Huska talked about him having a lot of creative play designs from faceoffs, some exciting zone entries.

I thought Andersson looked much better on PP1 than either Weegar or Hanifin on PP2.

It's certainly not the start I was hoping to see from Sharangovich. Looks like he's lost the battle for the spot on that line, and doesn't hold a spot on either PP.

We took a risk on him...hopefully it pays off.

Agreed.

I also like that Ruzicka will continue to play centre, and I believe that two fast, heavy, tenacious wingers like Greer and Duehr will help to keep Ruzicka engaged. It doesn't hurt at all that Duehr has a bit of a scoring touch.

This could turn out to be a HELL of a fourth line.

For me Weegar is a little slow to make a good decision in PP and his shot always blocked. Hanifin is a little faster and has a good wrist shot.

That's what I see too.

Weegar doesn't seem to have a head for the offensive side of the puck. He telegraphs shots, and forces plays too often.

Agree that Hanifin isn't a fit either.

Andersson or bust for PP1 in my mind.
