This game underlines the problem of re-signing Lindholm for me. The day after you sign the contract, the product on the ice isn’t going to be any better but it *will* be about 9 million more expensive.

If you don’t re-sign him, it’s just going to look equally marginal.

Doesn’t seem a great risk reward in favour of signing.

Zary should be on the top line in the AHL, not the 4th line center for the Flames. I watched him a lot last year and I think he will develop better with one more year or at least half a year in the AHL.

It’s preseason and I really only tune in usually to the last couple games before the regular season, but would be nice to see Lindholm step up and earn a contract. Should not be paying for his production 2 years ago. Idk, just so invisible for long stretches of play last season and this game looks pretty similar. I just don’t think you pay a guy 10 million a year to be a solid 2 way C. He needs to be dynamic play driver and I just don’t think that ever will be him

Pick up a fast and gritty guy from waivers who is suited to a 4th line role. Zary will play when he is ready.
