This one is actually really cruel and ignorant. Do you think there are tens of thousands of researchers that would bite their tongues on the existence of a cure so they don't risk their $60,000 a year jobs? All these people willing to die or let their lives ones die for said big payoff? The cancer research world is pretty connected, you're not going to find a cure in total secrecy with a lab of two people and no one else having a clue. Seems pretty cynical.
We've "cured" many cancers with preventative measures, and many cancers are completely curable with current relatively cheap interventions like testicle removal, etc.

Not to mention it is in the best interest of Pharmaceutical companies to keep these patients alive so that they go on other medications as they age.
The other aspect is that not all cancers are the same. Liver cancer involves different cells than brain cancer.
What all the money and research has done is to prolong the lives of patients diagnosed with cancer and to reduce the chance of it coming back. This has been very successful. For example the 5 year mortality rate is 95% survival for Breast Cancer patients due to drugs like Tamoxifen.

Yeah, but pharmaceutical companies are evil. Did you ever think about that?

FFS - seriously!?
As an oncology/palliative care clinician, this is one of the most ignorant statements I've seen on this website...
Time for a CP break.
(and there are actually over 200 types of cancer...)

Do Mr's report directly to Dr's or is there another layer of management in between? I feel like a direct promotion to Dr is a bit much

The internet is one of those places where if you say something dumb, you're gonna hear about it. It's like the inverse of the vegan effect.

I feel skeevy just remembering I had a BVCU bank account as a kid. ####ing gross.
Also, for those not worried about TBA, look how many people they had at this event. Concerned yet? Ya, this is who you voted for. Thanks.

Take Back Alberta has a lot of support in certain segments. A lot of their supporters won't tell you though - they know what the reaction would be.

The take back Alberta boogie man. “They exist but you can’t see them”
They’ve always been pretty loud and outspoken to me.

Their leaders and someof their nutty followers are loud. A lot of people who like them know that it's a thing they should hide.
Which are you?

Best to just bring up TBA in random conversations to try and draw them out.

It's kind weird - go onto Bow Valley's facebook page and there they are honoring Truth and Reconciliation Day (which last time I looked, was not a big RW favorite).

Back to that ol' well eh? Couldn't go back even further and just say godless heathens or something? Too blatant?

I wonder what take back Alberta would think of the Social Credit party? Seemingly that's what they want to take Alberta back to... but do they not realize that these were essentially religious, repackaged communists?
