Well, I guess a spot maybe just opened up at home.
The returns might be underwhelming if those are the only 2 options, but I'd think a hockey trade would be better with Florida, and if its a 1st round pick in like 2027 they get, maybe they can flip that for something else.

The market for Noah is drier then a nuns you know what…

If he spoke directly with "most teams" that is tampering and the Flames should be going to the league with a complaint and sanctions against the agent and teams he has spoken to directly.. If he made some blanket statement in the press then that may be possible.

Bubba bubba bubba… If you don’t think agents, teams and players talk you sir are misguided. This is the NHL.

There's a difference between back room conversations and public statements. The NHL can't have agents openly tampering when there is a valid contract in place.

This isn’t a press release. It is back room conversation.

Yeah I don't know that I've seen or read anything from Hanifin's agent about him

So probably looking at a late 1st or a 2nd and a B prospect for Hanifin as a rental.

Depends on a couple of situations.
Are the Flames competing for top 8 in the conference?
Is the team trying to acquire Noah renting or looking to extend?
Do the Flames need to retain or take on cap to ensure cap compliancy?

Unless the Flames are already top 4 in the conference they should be trading these guys at the deadline.
Would be stupid to hang on to them if you're just fighting for a wild card spot.

Can we have Hanifin wear extra protection for the season?
Bubble wrap maybe??
It would be just our luck to hold onto Hanifin in anticipation of an injury to another team's blueline, to maximize value, only to have him hurt and unable to be traded.

Wonder what the league average is for UFAs in terms of whether they leave for greener pastures or not. I would guess it’s pretty highly weighted towards leaving. Unless you’re already on a contender.
Probably the one time in your career where you can, within reason, cash in and choose where you want to play.

Pump the brakes there fella, I never suggest or implied you were attacking gvitaly.
You suggested there is a fit with Buffalo, I'm saying there isn't.
That's it that's all, no tone, just my 2¢
