He has a broken jaw, is missing a bunch of teeth, has broken toes and foot, some internal bleeding (this turned out to be a puncture to both the small and large intestine), a bad concussion, and various minor cuts/abrasions - that's what my brother knew at that point, when he texted me, so I suppose that could change. He was supposed to be going into surgery a couple of hours ago, haven't heard anything since. Also haven't heard anything about the people in the other vehicle, am hoping they'll be ok/recover from any injuries they might have.
He remembers nothing of the accident, thankfully, only that they'd been camping and were on their way home.
Fingers crossed, nothing gets worse for anyone involved in the accident. I'm so relieved that this all seems to be stuff he and his girlfriend will recover from.

Glad to hear that it's looking like they'll be okay.
My random thought to contribute is that it's always kinda freaky hearing stories like this, and thinking at any point you can just randomly wake up in the hospital half-dead. Like I can just be sitting on my computer at work and suddenly "Oh, you don't remember you got in to a bad head on accident on the way home that day two days ago, gonna be a long road for you" -- freaky.

Does it still count if you're riding the bike... with a dude in a sidecar attached?

There’s a guy in my neighborhood who regularly takes his dog out in a sidecar attached to a 60-year old motorcycle.
And yes, the dog wears goggles.
It’s glorious.

Unless you’re driving a trike.
Or have a full sleeve that looks like “generic japanese-inspired sleeve purchased during peak tattoo-focused reality TV phase” or a Star Wars/Marvel tattoo or something.
Those both definitely make you look more lame than you would’ve otherwise. Which was probably pretty lame to begin with.

Are you too young to remember when guys would get the Tasmanian Devil tattoo? Without exception, every single one of those guys was a tool. Probably the 90s version of dudes with Marvel tattoos now.

I’m sorry but if you have a marvel sleeve tattoo I wouldn’t be able to take you seriously. There should be a mandatory waiting period for something like that.

If I was to ride in a sidecar I’d dress up like a Mario character and toss banana peels out the side.

Just trying to recall if other Bikers give trikes the biker wave or not. Cruisers don’t seem to acknowledge sport bikes, so have to think trikes are also segregated?
Is a dune buggy a car or an ATV / quad?

Also make sure to refer to yourself and your fiends as “Bikers” whenever possible.

Person by person choice, I only wave to other bikes (no trikes, mopeds or especially those canam spyders...wtf), doesn't matter if it's a sport bike or a cruiser.

When I drive my e cargo bike around I often give head nods to motorcycles so they understand I’m also a badass.
Weirdly this summer I’ve also noticed a giant uptick in props for my Honda element.
I’ve had a least six different situations of people letting me know my choice of vehicle is cool in the last 2 months.

I was just thinking about tattoos the other day and how they're so insanely popular in the past decade or two, that it's almost comical how similar every guy/girl looks. Especially summer where every guys "special/unique/meangingful" leg tattoo in the exact same place, with generally the same dimensions, looks exactly the same to everyone due to the sheer volume of them, to the point where they don't even register as anything anymore.
Seeing a leg/calf tattoo is like seeing someone wearing a white T shirt, it's nothing because they're all the same and everywhere.

You have to have great respect for when a man is in his Element.
