Not surprised about Smyth. I had a buddy from Moose Jaw back in the day who’s wife’s cousin dated him when he played with the Warriors. Said he was a real piece of work. And this coming from a guy who partied with Fleury in his day and said Smyth was a worse ######.

It's possible Ryan Smyth thought it was a real game, not the smartest of guys. Always came across a little special.

As a boy, he got run over with a golf cart by Kevin Lowe Glenn Anderson. Was never the same after that. Inexplicable Oilers loyalty.

That boy ain't right.

As Smyth's spiritual successor, McDavid clearly needs to up his ugly cry face game.

It's at the heart of Oilers tradition.

Always thought Smyth was a loser and overrated bum. I love him being ripped for that captain Canada gtfo here with that noise playing in the world hockey championships.

Was disgusted to here he was almost a Flame would have soiled our jersey.

I know the Sheldon Souray story in Edmonton is old news, but it never gets old to hear players ripping on Edmonton. He goes into more details about how the organization treated him and his dislike for Lowe and Katz. Not that Souray isn't a no good person in his own right, so I don't feel bad for him really.

You can listen to the podcast here. It's quite a good listen.

He recalled, “We had a tough one. In my year-end interview, I kinda say, ‘Hey, it’s probably best for me to move on, but we’ll talk about that this summer.’ The next day, the headlines read ‘Souray demands trade’ and so on.”

Following this, Souray had a productive summer of training and aimed to act cooperatively in the hopes of securing a trade. But, the Oilers neglected to extend an invitation to training camp. Kevin Lowe instructed him to publicly apologize and speak to Daryl Katz, a demand Souray declined.

No surprise. The same doctors that told Smid he should play through his neck pain and guilting him into playing until he literally couldn't hold a stick in his hand.

The same local media Lowe instructed to do his work to trash a player or coach or GM. It wasn't Tambellini that leaked stuff to the media, it was Lowe.

Kevin Lowe really is a grade A ######bag. Can't believe Karen Percy married that clown.

Kevin Lowes' induction into the HoF cheapens the entire Hall of Fame. He's so terrible that he literally made the HoF worse.

That is next level NG.
