I have yet to see anyone actually always choosing the negative path.
I have seen many posters try to paint others with that narrative but it never actually is true.
I would also say that many things people claim are "negative" aren't negative in anyway. Not being happy about the way the Flames have been run is not negative. Not wanting to work to maintain mediocrity is not negative.
This is a Flames team with little to no success over the past 20+ years, people not being satisfied with that is not negative.

I think the issue is that you don’t actually understand what “negative” means, based on your description of what is/isn’t negative lol.

I don't really care about being right or wrong but realistic.
I am not able to create fake positivity around the team when it doesn't exist. I can't get excited about a player I don't like or rate as good. I can't say things are great when the team makes moves I don't agree with.
If others are able to do that great for them, but I don't get the joy in pretending things are good/great when they aren't. That doesn't seem like fun to me at all.

Nobody is pretending, they just have a different, more positive, opinion than you do, which is not hard because yours is usually negative. People might like players you don’t or be more comfortable with the direction than you are, doesn’t mean they’re making anything up or pretending. You don’t have any special domain over what constitutes “realism.”
Hilarious to say you’re not actually being negative and then say “positivity around the team doesn’t exist.” LOL
Like, read that back out loud. You hear that, right?

But you and a few others love to create fake negativity.

That's only because you haven't yet looked at yourself Yikes. Which NHL team is you favorite? I'm still curious.

Being negative there is no losses if you are actually a fan of the team

Guessing that your marriage counselor gave you the same advise?
Go through your marriage believing that your wife is always cheating on you and if you don't catch her than you can feel happy. If you do catch her then you can claim you were right.
Just seems like a very depressing lifestyle to live.

Regardless of how you feel about a poster or their place on a silly hockey forum, can we stop making posts like this? It feels incredibly gross.

You are guessing wrong. Also I am not a constantly negative poster so I agree that that is a depressing lifestyle to live.
I think you have people that always expect the worst. To me if I hated the Flames as much as some posters on this site appear to I would find a new hobby

With all the attention we just had on the state of men's mental health, you don't see an issue with dragging in the state of someone's personal life and attacking it because of something they said on a forum about a hockey team?
You do you, just seems like very poor taste.

How is saying that being negative seems depressing an attack?
Is saying that being positive seems fun an attack?

That's not the issue. That's not even what was said. Try to spot the difference between:
1. Being negative seems depressing, and
2. Your life must be really depressing
I've seen the latter start popping up a lot lately, and it really isn't necessary. Seems like nasty for the sake of nasty. Anyway, that's all from me.

It's not about pretending things are good/great. I've acknowledged that this is one of the worst performing franchises in the league.
It's about having some hope.
As fans hope is often all we have.
It's the thing that binds us to the team and to each other.
