Heh.. I was always a Trinny boy We had quite the crew on Sonoma. I don't think I turned off my music in that game till 2000 or 2001 so this brings back a lot of good memories.

Edit heres a forest one I think that is re done, I did a quick google these are the only decent ones I can come up with.

No this is not nerdy, 1v1 duel no pots if you think it is. if you still have your old UO cd you can install it and all the music is there, oldult06 is the old starting music, with the chest that used to open up. Thats key.

I forgot to add GTA: Vice City, the soundtrack alone was great.

In no particular order:
- X-Com: UFO Defence = So slow, so tedious, and yet somehow so good. Terror from the Deep and every other sequal completely failed to live up to this gem.

-Civ = Sid Meier did pretty good with this franchise.

-Heroes Quest/Quest for Glory I & II. = Easily my favorite incarnation of the Sierra 'Quest' genre.

-EA NHL = I've loved some versions and hated others, but I've had one version or another on my HD for a long long time now.

-Diablo 2 = slightly edges out Fallout 2.

HM: Half-Life, Masters of Orion 2, Caesar 3/Pharoah, WingCommander 2 & Privateer, Starcraft, Warcraft2, Day of the Tentacle (amazed at how many lists I've seen this on). Oh, and pretty much any Tycoon style game with a quality engine behind it. Damn, just too many gems to list them all.

It was one of my first online games ever, and the concept of a monthly fee at the time was so out their, too this day I don't know how I convinced my parents to give me their credit card number and pay that fee. Bear in mind this was when I was in Junior high. The absolute freedom of being able to do whatever you want, the Fear and thrill of Pk's killing you and stealing all your equip was amazing. Easily my favorite MMO to this day, probably played and thought about this game more than any other. So many good memories of just sitting infront of the Brit Bank, and checking out the cool crap that people were wearing. Alot of the music files for me still bring back memories, Brit/Yew damn I miss that game.
Haha... me too.

I played that game way too freaking much. I still have an active account, which I log on to once every few months or something if that, but as other mentioned that game absolutely died when Publish 16 hit.

Played Pac 1997-2000, LS 2000-current (if I play), and Sonoma from 2001-2004.

RIP UO. They really destroyed that game. It is pretty ridiculous when an MMO like that can have such a lasting impact on so many people and the developers wanted nothing more than to destroy it. Kind of funny now that UO is completely in the toilet with regards to subscriptions numbers and has only a fraction of a percentage of their former market share.

Oh well, you reep what you sow, which is exactly what Electronic Arts did.

Best Computer game ever for me. Surefire #1.

Other games I've played which I loved:

Baldur's Gate II - Absolutely amazing and the expansion takes it to another level. Why isn't there a BG III?? Seriously.

Half life - Counterstrike sucked me in for a long time.

Civ Series - I've played it all since Civ I and they are great fun.

Warcraft II/C&C/Age of Empires - Loved all those Real time Stratagies. Tons of fun.

Not sure what it is about NWN that people really seem to love, I've seen a lot of people mention it, but I found it didn't even hold a candle to the BG series. I liked NWN 2 a lot better than 1, precisely because it played like a BG.

Any of you ex-UO fellows happen to be the obsessive collectors of games and still have your original UO box w/ CD and maps? I've been trying to hunt down the CD and maps on eBay for a few months now, but no luck. Just the occasional Renaissance and Blackthorns Revenge.

Civ III - my favorite of the series, although I also liked Alpha Centauri a lot.
Unreal Tournament 2K4 - I don't play a lot of FPS, but this is by far my favorite.
Transport Tycoon Deluxe - great little underrated railway sim game that plays a bit like Sim City.
Warcraft II - my favorite of the series - III was pretty good, but I didn't like the quests and the emphasis on the heroes.
Populous - the first strategy sim I ever played, way back on my Nintendo. I'd like to see them try to resurrect the series after the really mediocre Populous 3 a few years ago.
