Flames team have their list and know where they can potentially pick up value in the latter rounds. I'm looking forward to Sandman and those others who know their stuff's analysis of each pick.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of prospects this year who have a skating issue? It seems to be a more common knock on several players in this draft. Maybe a result of interrupted development in this class due to the focus years? Could just be me.

I think the standard of NHL skating has just increased that much. The kids aren't worse than they were, now there are more elite skaters in the NHL than ever.

I felt that way as well.
Its also super strange considering the game is played on ice these guys would put more time into skating issues, but I guess not.

I would generalize it a little more and say that there are a lot of prospects with alluring potential but pretty serious warts.
You have productive forwards that are combinations of poor skaters, undersized, or lack compete.
There is a big glut of under-sized forwards with impressive production.
