What's intriguing about that video is it's in Texas and guy is obviously a violent angry enough dude to carry around a machete in his vehicle, so how come he doesn't actually have a gun himself?

I had Texans come into work today. Their beliefs are: As long as there is war going on in the world, every white American should be able to carry a gun.
Just so crazy, surreal. From reminding kids to wear seatbelts to getting into a gun fight.
Hero regardless, but I wonder if one small benefit of Ulvade is that you will have more officers like him running straight to put down the threat at risk of their own safety.
Apart from the absurd number of Teslas in that parking lot...I wanted to make a snide remark about that cop's lack of fitness, but in fairness he's probably scared s##tless and in all black wearing tons of pounds of gear in what looks like ungodly heat.
That man was awesome. Absolute full credit to that Cop.
Fataing...Wow.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
That guy deserves a medal. He ran towards shots being fired while on his own to deal with it. That's some courage and some real responsibility and integrity in his role. Even the beginning where he's just being nice with the kids and reminding them to wear their seat belts is great. Totally worthy of respect.

Basically a best case scenario for police happening to be there already. But still in that short amount of time 8 people were killed including a 3 year old.

Well that and sprinting towards an active shooter without knowing his exact location is a good way to end up getting shot
I think adrenaline wipes you out super fast, too. Plus the mental load of not knowing where the shooter is...like, that would deplete your energy in hyperspeed.
Just always comes back to guns in the USA. WTaF.

That video is pretty insane. Hard to tell where the shots are coming from I woulda been s***ing myself for sure. Seems like got the shooter from a pretty good distance too.
I didn't even hear about that shooting because they're so common now. Looked it up, that shooter killed 8 people, including an entire family of Koreans... what a country.

Yea I went looking at news for a new mass shooting after watching that video and found out that it happened a few weeks ago. Don't remember hearing anything about it, these things are so common now the headlines get lost in the shuffle

3 kids between the ages of 3 and 12 were murdered in the attack by this coward.
The 8 guns he brought with him were also legally purchased.

Other crazy thing about that video is I think he asks a bystander or something “is it a mass shooter?”
Because mass shooters have become so common, that they are now a legitimate question to be asked in that type of situation. That the hearing of popping sounds immediately means a cop thinks a mass shooter could be rampaging- like that fact alone that the question is even asked- is one hell of an indictment on a country. What a wild situation the USA is in with regard to gun violence. It’s simply not understandable.
But yes, what an absolute hero that guy is. Very brave.

That's what a cop is expected to do isn't it? I mean I'm very glad he was there and actually protected and served but I'd stop short of a medal.
We need to expect this response from Police if we don't they get away with an Uvalde.
