I thought this too. Krug for Reilly solves problems on both teams, and leaves them both open to add another player(s).
Boston with Hall and Reilly out, net 2.5M.
St. Louis with Krug out, even without a Reilly buyout net 3.5M.

Mmmm. Not really. I think part of Zachas success in Boston is he's gelled with his line mates. Don't know if Boston would want to sacrifice that and the Flames taking the risk he doesn't gel with players in CGY.
And I want Zacha but risk/reward for hanifin isn't worth it IMO.

If ever they traded for Hanifin I feel as if it has to be either DeBrusk + something or Zacha.
They have almost nothing in terms of prospects so yeah it's almost a necessity to move someone of importance.

BOS might be losing their #1 and #2 centres this offseason. Hard to imagine them parting with Zacha as well.

This. And Boston would want to acquire Lindholm, I feel they don’t need hanifin. They have no 1st and their prospect pool is bottom 3rd in the league. Flames should stay far away from the bruins.

Boston will probably just re-sign Bertuzzi and pick up a defenseman somewhere. They simply have no assets to be in the market for Hanifin.
