I don't understand why anyone completely disregards +/- when every stat to some degree is impacted by your linemates.
+/- being ignored is why so many predict the Oilers to win the cup every year. Draisaitl lead the playoffs in goals only playing 2 rounds and scoring over a goal a game yet they lost. He was -1. Not all on him but some is.
I thought Gilbert was a great 6/7 guy last year and never once thoughy "get this guy out of the lineup" once during the season

B) Bring him up to the NHL and play him in a more sheltered 3rd pairing role with offensive minutes and PP time potentially...and try to work on his defensive game at the NHL level.
I don't know what the answer is but feel like those are the two options.

My vote is give him another year at least, with a few cups o' coffee.

Not surprising at all. Now will see if Conroy has any clue about team building here with how he decides to handle Lindholm and Hanifin trades.

Won't be missed, yes draft pedigree and age blah blah. But watching him play, guy turns over the puck at absolute worst moment, the definition of anti-clutch

I think we'll know what Conny is made of by the end of the month perhaps.

Conroys make or break point is here and that isn’t an exaggeration at all. Years down the road we’ll be looking what he did with his returns and at this draft to say where her he got enough or if he drafted well. I think it’s an area he can’t possibly get wrong, but more a question of maximizing the potential return.

It forces a rebuild regardless of what management calls it. Even with everyone back this team is not a contender. This forces the issue.
Without legit stars, it frees Conroy up to move anyone as he sees fit. This team needs stars and the only way to get them is through drafting. Eventually Murray will understand that.
New stadium, star players, sell the Flames for an epic profit and buy an EPL team.

A rebuild or a reshuffle of the deck chairs.
We have a lot of D and need scoring. Bye Hanifin.
We need to add draft picks, inject young guys and add depth scoring. Bye Lindholm.
Hopefully it’s that simple.

Trade him for maximum value and get a top 6 scorer because we really need it!

Yeah it’s simple, except to ownership.
It’s not up to Conroy. So, it’s not all on him regardless of what happens.

This is a miss conception. Reality is outside of Tkachuk - 'Captain America', Some American players would rather raise their families in the united states, closer to family, no boarders ect. Noah is at that age, getting settled down long term is a important priority for a % of his generation.
Noah going to a destination in the North East/East is probably ideal for him.
We might not feel the same sentiment..."a professional athletes making millions to play a kids game - it shouldn't matter" but it matters and people are being more open about it.
He's been a great player for the flames for 5 years, good in the community. You can't really ask anymore of the guy. His game is what his game is - steady.

Are you a season ticket holder?
I'm curious how many STH's would like to see it all burnt to the ground to endure 2 years of horrible games in the hopes of landing a superstar in the draft?
I am supportive of trading the pending UFAs that will not re-sign. You must have good asset management. I am also supportive of a re-tool.
But, I have no appetite for a scorched earth, aim for dead last, type of rebuild. I have no appetite to spend 10's of Thousands of dollars to watch horrible 0.333% hockey.

I'm pretty sure many Long term season ticket holders have already watched a lot of terrible hockey.

potato potahto. If they want to leave, they dont want to stay here.
What's the misconception?
For the record all I said was the recent track record isnt so good, i have no problems with him going somewhere else and being honest with the team about it so we can manage assets.

Best solution to keep guys is build a contender. Somehow the owners haven't figured that out yet. But maybe the Cup isn't their priority.

Guy on twitter seems to think that he'll end up east and while doesn't claim to know who, thinks jersey would be good partners. Also said the best offer is from someone on Noah's no trade list.

My guess is Montreal. Wonder if they're offering the Kadri/Monahan 1st swap back and something else perhaps. Dvorak+, Dach, Guhle would be ideal targets.
