Community ownership vs private ownership for starters. I'm all for the Nordic model, but it won't work here until we have a sense of community and purpose instead of dividing ourselves into groups and attacking each other.

I like my avatar it makes me laugh. But it's incredible how you are totally oblivious to the fact that our PM is the master of division.

Wait, I thought this was the thread where we only cared about winning and ethics was for chumps. Please take this Trudeau whining to the thread where we only care about ethics and winning is for cheaters.

In the face of what? What are the unifying forces in Alberta? In Canada?

If Trudeau is the 'master' of division, does that make everyone else Sith Lords...or something? The guy called out the fringe idiots occupying Ottawa for 4 weeks and suddenly he's the great divider.

As a side note, anyone that makes their avatar any variation of a politician is KFC Xtra Cringe.

And he’s an idiot.

The division is his strategy to maintain power.

Interesting article that AB, Sask, Man agreed in principle about developing a corridor to the Hudson Bay to export commodities.

Good to see them working together and thinking outside of the box.

Totally necessary.

You made the accusation here, so defend it here.

We're not going to bounce between threads to satisfy your comfort level.

To be honest that’s not really a great start. Socialism is a pretty subjective term and definitely doesn’t require the public ownership of industry.

Passing laws here that would enable the option of greater collective actions to enhance that sense of community, like they have in Nordic countries, would be a good start. Unfortunately the parties you support are generally opposed to this.

So are you in favour of making unions easier to form and protect them to expand the power of collective bargaining?

It appears that much of the Nordic model relies on giving the individual the power to stand up to corporate interest in order for the collective interests be served.

With strong union presence you then can get rid of minimum wage from the government because of the collective bargaining agreements protecting workers.

for anyone who missed the announcement:

Continuous mask mandate to be lifted in Alberta hospitals

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...fted-1.6878038

Continuous masking will no longer be required in Alberta hospitals, treatment centres and long-term care facilities starting next week.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) announced Thursday it will drop the masking requirement for staff, patients and visitors in all its hospitals and contracted sites. The change is set to go into effect Monday.

Cool cool, so now we can wait in a Dynalife lab packed like sardines, probably with sick people not wearing masks.

You still have the choice to wear one if you feel uncomfortable, and also ask you health care provider to do so.
