3rd oa is a long shot to say the least. You would probably have to send lindholm+hanifin or 16th oa to get them to even listen.
Using horvat as a comp. A package of 22nd+sillinger+ roslovic/benstrom/bean/peeke wouldn't be terrible. It's no 3rd oa buts it's still solid.
A package of 22nd+sillinger+marchenko/boqvist/chinakov would be really good.

The problem with including markstrom to Columbus is two fold: 1 they don't really have any bad contracts that we can swap in there so they're not taking on an egregious cap number in a single trade. Maybe roslovic? I understand they've soured on him. Only 4 mil though and an upcoming ufa.
2 it does diminish the ultimate value we cam expect for lindholm.
But columbus could use a more solid/consistent goalie and maybe they'd bank on a turnaround.

I would love to move on from Markstrom but I don't want to lower Lindholm's value by tying Markstrom to him. The return from Lindholm should be a nice part of helping with the rebuild and if we have to pay a team to take Markstrom with him not sure there will be much left coming back.

Yeah, same here. I would really try to move Markstrom before sending Vladar out. If Treliving really wants a goalie, he can take Markstrom.

Then you’re having to take back Elvis.

Probably, and his contract isn't great either and has one more year on it. Hard to say how bad he really was though, because his whole team stinks. His contract is also less buyout proof than Markstrom's, although I hate dead cap space, it could be an option.

Also lets not pretend like Markstrom contract = Elvis contract.
If they want that swap, there is an additional sweetener to Calgary of significance.

It's easy to imagine how something like that could impact someone. Maybe a change of scenery could help him move forward if that is part of the issue.

I’m just looking at the Sabres depth chart, and Krebs is squeezed out of the top 6 which is where he needs to be playing eventually. He’d be a nice young centre for the Flames to get. They could use help at D.

Jets apparently don’t want to rebuild either. Maybe the Flames and Jets will swap some players.

That's a deal that would hopefully satisfy most fans. Sounds about fair value if Columbus was interested in Lindholm.
I still don't imagine pick #3 is on the board, but if it is maybe something like #3 and #22 from Columbus for Lindholm and the Flames first works. Columbus would move up into a range where some of the better prospects are likely to still be available in round 1, and they would receive a center who strengthens the likelihood that acquiring Gaudreau for term was a good deal. From the Flames perspective they would greatly increase their odds of acquiring a franchise type forward, and still maintain a second first round selection. Perhaps Columbus would entertain this deal as they would keep Sillinger, Marchenko, and still have Johnson in the wings, with Lindholm stabilizing the team in the present sense.
I like the deal you propose, as this would bring youth and skill to the Flames, but if the Flames are looking to obtain a game changing talent in the event they deal Lindholm, acquiring that 3rd pick would be the best path to achieving that result.

I don’t really know I was just noticing a potential opportunity. But maybe they wanna get nuts, and add a solid piece up front… like a Swede… let’s get nuts: Lindholm for Quinn and Krebs.

The contract is good but he's starting to miss a lot of games and there was weird stuff going on at the end of the season where he said he didn't have a concussion but the team disagreed.

That's nuts alright. Would love it, but Flames win that one for a rental year of Lindholm
