Pretty sure there is far more nuance to consider.

Well a 3% PST, on top off what money is already going towards health care should certainly create a better system.

Have you done your homework on the definition of registered? Physicians can be licensed in Alberta but spend their time in other provinces. I know of two physicians in Ontario who are still licensed in Alberta just in-case they decide they want to move, or take extra work in the province.
You're also downplaying the type of physicians that are needed in Alberta. There is a severe shortage of family docs, particularly rural family docs. 700,000 Albertans do not have a family physician.
You should also know that the most recent Quarterly Report doesn't look as rosy. That quarterly net decrease of 275 was a result of 179 new registrations and 454 cancellations.
This article also articulates some of those concerns for Albertans:

I'm sure there is. But you wanted to know how the 3% discretionary figure compares to Denmark's 11% GDP spending.
Maybe a better way to put it is that Denmark spends 9.25% GDP on government health spending but Canada only spends 8.69%. 3% additional taxes would go a long way to catching those number up.

To keep pace with population growth in 2022 they would have needed an increase of 410 vs. the 254 they achieved. So they're falling behind.

I wondering if Northern Europeans are generally healthier and so their healthcare costs are lower.
I mean, have you ever seen a fat Dane or Swede walking by? No. They are all look like models.

That's a failure that applies to all of Canada. BC is supposed to have 900K to nearly 1 million people without a family doctor. Based on Statistics Canada data, even with the supposed decline in family doctors in recent years Alberta is doing better than the Canadian average.

Of course not. There will have to be redesigns on everything. I've said this multiple times in the Alberta Politics thread but I really don't think we can fix the system without a huge cash outlay up front with returns over time. The system is so fragmented and piecemeal that it will need a lot more than 4 years of spending to get it back on track. No political party wants to try that, so we end up just keeping up the maintenance instead of buying a whole new car.
So we can increase funding to keep things going, we can dedicate $20B+ to revamping the system or we can let it fail and sell it off to the lowest bidder.
UCP seem to be aiming at option 3, NDP at option 1, and no one is seriously considering option 2, because although it makes the most sense, it is also the least politically viable option.

It's all connected man. First they make us wear masks, and then they take away our fireworks. Next thing you know they're having sex with our wives. It's all a part of the WEF.

Calgary arena deal getting scrapped is a strong incentive for Edmonton to vote NDP when you think about it.
