I shouldn't be surprised, but this is apparently the logic people use to vote for the UCP. And then people wonder why their intelligence is questioned.

Clearly, the situation is best if the person does not die under either circumstance. You know thats the point, you just want to try and get your little barb in.

Are they Republican voters? Are they part of the LGBTQ community? Are they snowbirds escaping the winters? Migration statistics are only one layer of the story; there are many reasons why someone moves, and to where.

Good idea. Government by appointment - enough of these pesky elections and democratic process.
In fact, let's just make it hereditary. I will humbly accept the burden as Albertas first Grand Archduke, first of His House.

Are you suggesting that some sort of moral or intellectual authority is required to oversee who can and can't vote though? This is some bat#### extremist ideology.

Its ugly, elitist, and incredibly intolerant behavior that probably contributed to the loss by not being able to swing more people on the fence to vote for the NDP.
You'll never win "hearts and minds" by berating people as stupid, bigoted morons for having differences of opinion from you.

I don’t think there is any point whatsoever in trying to win the hearts and minds of those who with all the information available, took the conscious decision to vote for people who compared people looking after their health and the health of others to Nazis. Or those that compared children to ####.
They’re lost - the goal needs to be to try and win the hearts and minds of those that didn’t vote at at all because they weren’t ready to vote for the NDP but couldn’t bring themselves to vote for the stink the UCP has become.

Could be all of those. As I've mentioned, the cities are extremely liberal. Houston and Tampa for example have been democrat/liberal for decades.
It's like how overall Alberta is conservative but Edmonton is not so people could move to Edmonton (i know i know). If you overheard someone moving to Alberta, do you immediately make assumptions without knowing where?

Will their obituary read " Died peacefully in a hospital corridor " or will decorum be retained but with an asterisk " Died peacefully at home* ".

Who's making assumptions? There's tons of reasons why someone would move to Florida. There's also tons of reasons why someone would not move to Florida. I'm not sure what you're trying to battle here.

Do you agree that some voters are racist, misogynistic deplorables? Some voters are uneducated and ignorant? Some are easily fooled and confused? These people all vote for the wrong party every time. For a party that either panders to their extreme and racist views, or who do not have their interests at heart.
Do you also agree that elections and governance is too important a process and outcome to leave up to the whims of people and partys who are operating in bad faith?
If so, then why is what I am saying extreme??

Alberta spends more per capita on health care than B.C or Ontario. Much of the revenue spent on health care comes from energy royalties. Maintaining those spending levels - never mind increasing them - means some combination of:
A) Keeping oil and gas activity high.
B) Increasing taxes to the levels of other provinces (ie introduce a PST).
C) Running growing deficits.
Any party interested in ‘addressing health care’ needs to be honest about these options. The UCP are honest about the importance of A, but are dishonest in not acknowledging that global oil prices are outside their control. Neither party seems interested in B, because they want to get elected. And the easy way out for both would be relying on C (though the UCP are probably more deficit-adverse than the NDP).
Jim Prentince was speaking the truth about government entitlements and public finances when he said Albertans need to ‘look in the mirror.’ And look where that got him politically.

So you accept the premise that they didn't actually if anything, they just moved the problem? And that's not my conclusion, that's from the doctors. Or do you not believe them?

Your right! Down with democracy! When do we march on the capital? Should I take Friday off work?
You are just as scary in your line of thought as the deplorables that you are coming out against.
