He's claiming he has been charged(not going to link his trash), but then is also using it as a fundraising opportunity, so the grift was probably set from the start. Pretty typical strategy of these bottom feeders. Scare people while lying to them, then take their money.

The saddest thing is that people still fall for these grifts despite how many times we've seen it before.

Good question and I had not really considered that until now.

That said, anyone can vote in advance polls at any advance polling station if I understand things correctly so evacuees would still be able to vote regardless of whether they are at home. In theory anyway, and I know it might be difficult logistically.

The Janet Brown poll was before the Nazi comments and the, "I've always been friend of the Jewish people."?

Regarding all the polls, can we not take the Brown poll with a grain of salt at this point given it hasn’t been released. I mean it was only leaked…. It’s not like the UCP would twist something into a narrative that would paint them as leaders when all other polls show a much different picture?

Ahh, this is where the cognitive dissonance really hits. I suspect it is because it is just another "us" vs "them". We aren't drug dealers, we just want body autonomy. Plus the drug problem is real and we need to win the war on drugs.. but Covid was fake.

I think we can take her at her word, she wouldn't speak to inaccurate numbers.

What are the odds that someone from the UCP wanted a poll like this out there so that if they lose they can point to it and claim it as proof that the election was rigged?

I don't think the UCP is at that level yet, but at this point there isn't much they could do that would surprise me.

I would bet that we see at least 1 UCP candidate lose and start banging the "The election was rigged" drum.

I think we're trying to parse individual polls too much. To me, unless the NDP shows a clear and consistent lead prior to the election they will not win. The conservatives always seem to be able to pull more support on election day.

This already happened to my wife. Where she worked they had 4 clinics, they have all closed because there is no money in family medicine. Hers was the last one to close. In that one there were 14 doctors. 8 of them are starting their own clinic but it will be half the size so they are each working part time at it. The others have either retired or are moving out of province. I think it is 3 moving and 4 retired.

Open your eyes sheeple the UCP set the province on fire and will take away our health care and have us line up at private clinics to get lung transplants.

If Calgary ends up letting Daniel Smith be our next premiere we will need a Calgary is No Good thread in the off topic.

Wake the eff up you idiots!

I wonder what the argument for a rigged election would be? There are no machines and no mail in votes. I've worked a few elections (not this one this year) and it's a very manual process.

The real reason Alberta conservatives don't like 'woke' is because they know they need Calgary to sleep through this election.

You don't need a real reason, you just need to rial up your base enough that they'll donate to fundraising. Keep 'em angry, they'll keep throwing money your way. Reality is in no way involved.

Totally what you expect a "journalist" to say. Like, come on. He isn't even pretending. Yet some people think he deserves the same access and respect as people who have dedicated their lives to actual journalism.
So this dork is so arrogant to think the election is in his hands? What a duffus. These people are self absorbed and delusional to put it kindly.

That hasn't stopped the dumb dumbs I know on facebook from complaining about the last municipal election, complete with complaints about Dominion.

There have now been 2 UCP candidates (one replaced) who have parroted stupid "Litter boxes in schools" BS, I'm convinced there will be one who is stupid enough to make a stolen election claim/argument. It doesn't have be rational, I still would not be surprised at all if one of them does it.
I even think there is a non-zero chance if the NDP win, Danielle smith could start making those claims.

I'd love to be wrong, but I really have zero faith in the UCP or their candidates right now.
