I actually quite thoroughly enjoy "but Trudeau!!'s" because he sucks and is the worst PM of our entire country's history, and we've been saddled with him for far too long.
Any and all "But Trudeau's" are welcome in my books.

Lots of people in Alberta seem to want to make love to Trudeau, they keep putting it on car decals, flags and shouting it in public.

Did you see Rob Ander's posing with the crazy libertarian pastor in that Tweet the other day? He wore a hoodie that clearly suggests he wants to give Justin a good, rigorous pipe cleaning.
I don't know what it is about Conservatives and Justin. They say they hate his guts, but they complimented his "nice hair," Now they want to make love.
Slow down, at least by him dinner first!

A vote for Danielle Smith is a vote Ron DeSantis. Am I doing this right?

The NDP should contact the Mouse HQ in Orlando and tell them they are running against DeSantis-lite. $$$$

Only if it's trashing him (or, as I like to call it, "telling it how it is").

That's not really quite the same thing but I generally agree that ####ty people should be called ####ty. I'm cool with that for sure. Also, this is a political thread so while yes off-topic; only sorta.

I can't believe we (Alberta) are spending a 1/3 of billion dollars on a arena, Thanks Nenshi.
When someone with some fiscal responsibility like the UPC save us from this mad government spending. I suppose it's only fair we write a blank cheque to Edmonton too for an undetermined project, because it would be irresponsible for us to give Calgary something they need, and not equally fund Edmonton for something they don't need.

Comments like this bother me more and more. This driving apart of people and deciding people are "sensible" or "unhinged" as a previous poster mentioned. Everyone is different, everyone has reasons for having political preferences. You deciding they are less then because of this is frankly disgusting. Personally, steps taken by the last NDP government were counter my beliefs and interests so I will be voting UCP. I would prefer to vote for another party, However, given the federal government I dont want to risk using my vote on a party that is not willing to stand up for my interests.

Are you a rich O+G CEO? No? Then the UCP is not looking out for your interests.

This gets thrown around here a lot, and we rarely get a clear answer, but what steps specifically?
When people rail against the UPC we have no problem finding concrete examples. From out of control spending on propaganda, to environmental destructions, to user fees, to inability to foster relationships with other levels of government, to declining control of things like the climate tax, to delaying the onset of covid benefits and restrictions to save face with fringe elements of their base.
But when they rail against the NDP, Notely is the Devil and she reconsidered taxes on the oil industry but didn't end up raising them.

1. Lightbulbs
2. Deficit Spending
3. PPAs
4. Carbon tax
Those are the real concrete examples that I see get used. And honestly, I can see the disagreement with those issues. What I can't see is how the UCP is better on any of those fronts.
