Hey remember that Winter Classic documentary where it showed the Flyers playing Mac Miller in the locker room after every win? Oh wait that was 2011 so it must have happened after the 15 year cutoff.

Also Mac Miller is white, so Bill Peters wouldn't have been able to tell them to turn off that N..... music

Probably. Don’t say anything when there is nothing good to say.

CaliPanthersFan seems like someone who means well and this was an out of character post for him. I think CP should maybe let it go and move on. No need for the continued pile on. Seems a bit mean at this point

You're absolutely right.

But even you have to admit, coming from you that's pretty funny.

Leafs break the curse. Dubas stays. Treliving's possible landing spots are reduced by one.

Yeah, I think he'll do great in Pittsburgh

What if they faceplant next round, think Dubas is still safe?

He’s going to Pittsburgh is my guess.

If they get blown out in 4 straight i still think Dubas stays. He has made some mistakes, but getting Mccabe and O'Reilly alone look like brilliant moves.

Well back to the GM talk. My speculation was the Flames were interested in Dubas. Now the Toronto has moved on I think that;

A. Knocks Dubas off the list for the Flames
B. We see a GM announcement in the next week

Don't think he gets canned by the Leafs, they would be crazy to do so. I like Dubas and he wouldn't be a bad get for the Flames. Treliving was perfect with the media and I think Dubas has shown he can build a team in an intense market. Just my thoughts/speculation.

Fair enough. Of course sometimes a dose of humility when you say/post something that wrong can go a long way to get people to move on.

Dubas is a free agent so he can do whatever he wants.

So, some people questioned why any announcement was pending around Sutter if management has already decided he's sticking around given Sutter is already signed for 2 years, but the announcement by the Jets is what I'm sort of expecting after they've made a decision. Obviously, organizations don't all operate the same way, but especially given the noise during garbage bag day, it seems to make sense for the Flames to do something similar, after they've decided.

So little hiccup in Treliving’s plan to take over the Leafs.

It seems increasingly likely everyone left is on the same page.

Iginlas comments on Sutter were pretty interesting "best coach I ever had. Still chat with him regularly. Expect something to happen re - Conroy when he get back to Calgary."

Mahoney stuck around. Conroy stuck around. Sutter stuck around.

Did I see a report that Wickenheiser was being considered or was that a coach thing? Are there any strong female candidates for GM?

Just asking for a different angle on the conversation.

It’s Saturday in springtime and Treliving is no longer GM of the Flames.

That’s all great news.
