Not only does he allow Moore to be wide open but he certainly hinders Skinner's ability to see the shot. He may even have somewhat physically inhibited him from making the save.
At least from the highlights I've seen as I didn't watch the game.
Great job Nursey!

Here's the fact that Oilers fans should be concerning themselves with: the Oilers have lost 6 of their last 7 playoff games.
And Nurse has been directly responsible, or at least incompetently involved, on the game winning goal, in what - 4 of them?

Had an idea!

If I were the Oilers I would be more concerned why the 'greatest player in the world' can't score 5 on 5 anymore.

That doesn't matter. It's first possession that determines a highstick or glove pass.

Really? I can't remember anything like that happening, actually the reverse.

Happened to Luongo against the Flames. Puck was in his pads or glove, I forget which, and said glove or pads were fully across the line. Goal allowed.
EDIT: Unsure if this s the one I thought of because I recalled in a game, not shootout. But same result:

But again, arguing over this silly potential, but inconclusive nudge on a stick, 30 seconds before the goal, completely misses the point that the Oilers gave the game away with a series of bad/stupid plays

There is something very funny about the Oilers losing and their fans (along with sympathizers and members of the Jr. Doctors of Physics Society) have to obsessively go back to an unrelated play where a puck in the air acts exactly how you would expect a puck to act in the air and say “that’s the reason we lost! no fair!” because a stick happens to be near that puck in a video.
Genius stuff.

He was sitting on the puck and slid into the net all the way behind the goal line. All of his body and pads were in the net. Yet the ruling was deemed inconclusive, because the puck was nowhere to be seen from any angle.

Not to belabour the point, but we’ve had a would-be Stanley Cup winning goal easily seen by at least two cameras missed by Fraser and the game wasn’t even stopped. Fraser said in an interview: “What was I supposed to do, stop the game?”. F…k, yeah! Nowadays, they are spending their sweet time reviewing if there was a micro-second touch of the puck in mid-air or if a micron of player’s skate was on the blue line. This IS getting nonsensical.

I honestly didn't even know you could go back for a missed stoppage like that.
I don't mind complex if it contributes to the integrity of the competion. Going back 15-20 seconds doesn't do that. A missed call basically gives the defending team a free opportunity where they are the only team that can score a goal until the zone is cleared.

That would be gold!!!
Next game
LA knocks down a puck with a high stick (that’s missed of course)
Eventually the oilers gain possession and score
And
The goal is reviewed and overturned for a missed stoppage
One can dream

If McHobo is indeed as unbelievably honest as his creepy, butterball coach says, why doesn’t he call a penalty on himself every time he executes one of his many cringeworthy dives or embellishments ?

just watched the ot, that was inconclusive, are the oilers whining? even if mcdavid saw it, doesn't matter the officials didn't and the camera angles couldn't show conclusively that it made contact.

McReferee has zero 5v5 points and is a minus 3 through three games. Both his power play goals deflected off of the defenders fooling Korpisalo. LA had many more glorious chances than did the Oilers, this series isn’t as close as the scores show. I want to see LA wrap up these posers in 5 games…. Enough of these clowns.
