Is there anywhere we can place bets on where the next mass shooting will be? Sure, it would be distasteful... but at least we wouldn't have to wait for the weekend like we do with NFL bets.

Yeahhh, that bet can be "rigged" with unfortunate ease.

Think about all the people in your circle, friends, coworkers and acquaintances.

There are 2 people I think of who are very dopey and wacky, they are also the 2 only gun owners I know. Stands to reason, lot of loonies out there.

Americans are widely and strongly in favour of gun control for everyone else, once they have to give up their own personal arsenal there's not a chance they vote for it

For every person that thinks "that guys a nut", another person considers them the "nut"

If only guns were actually useful at keeping you safe from guns, sadly they're not

87 hand guns were seized in Chicago that were destined for Canada.

https://globalnews.ca/news/9615007/p...investigation/

It makes me wonder how many illegal hand guns are already out there on the streets.

I've heard it's a lot. Larger number in Calgary than most might think.

more than we'd like but less than you'd think would be my guess, black market guns are very expensive in Canada and difficult to get, if you are a fully fledged gang member you can get one but we arent at a place where random hood rats can get one

You'd think they could 3d print one pretty easily at this point.

Printed guns are becoming more common and law enforcement agencies have no way to counteract the trend.

How common is common, and how reliable are they? I know nothing about printed guns, but I would imagine you can't exactly empty a clip, and just insert another one and keep going.

I wonder how many of the 42 people arrested were in Toronto/Canada? as we know they are the lucky ones that will serve little or no time

What your definition of a fully fledged gang member? They’re not that hard to get sadly.

About 6% of seized guns in Calgary last year were 'home made' which included 3D printed guns.

16 3D printed weapons seized in 2022 compared to 1 in each of 2020 and 2021.
