Nothing changed with the overtime loss the Jets still have to lose the same amount of games regardless if the flames won that game or not. Still believe that we'll have an exciting last week of the season.

At this stage in the season, any point not earned is huge. Losing in OT last night instead of a win is huge no matter how you slice it.

So, when we beat the Preds and Sharks and Jets lose to Sharks and Wild, we are in and it doesn't matter what happens in the final game for them?

At that point the Flames would have 94 points and the Jets 91, so yes.. the final game wouldn't matter.

In 1 less game. 2 out of 4 is more likely than 2 out of 3.
If Jets win their next game, it’s still 2 games, but then 2 out of 2.

Sharks won both games against the Jets this year.
3-2 on the road OT win
3-0 at home win
both games were in March.
Lets go Sharks!

Jets play tonight and tomorrow. I have a feeling SJ is going to pull one out. If that happens, Jets are in big trouble.

Easiest and earliest path to playoffs, Oilers play LA, we play Vegas not Colorado, and Colorado/Minnesota remain interested in beating Winnipeg.

Shout out to everyone who kept the good vibes over the last 25 games or so. This thread was a lot of fun.

Appreciated the optimism in this thread. It was a very, very tough season to stay engaged. But, y’all had me pumped for upcoming games and that’s all that I needed to continue watching and cheering them on.
Onto the next season. Think of this positive: a lot went wrong this season. And, I’ve never seen a season in the history of my Flames watching the bad luck we had with the puck.

2019- 107pts 1st in the West, 2nd in the NHL
2020- 79pts in 70 games 93pt pace 8th seed in the West.
2021 - 55pts in 56 games for a 81pt pace. 5th in the Canadian division
