We now control our own fate against Nashville. If we win the rest of our games, they can’t catch us.

All three teams can claim to control their own destiny, except Flames need the tiniest bit of help against the Jets.

Nashville looks to be in tough with their schedule remaining. I’m really liking our chances right now.

Moneypuck has us up to a 32% chance, when we were close to single digits a few days ago.

Nashville is down to about 5%

I'm going to the game too! First Flames game since seeing Eat Bread's first NHL goal (a beauty) in Vancouver four years ago!

Not gonna lie, been checking the out of town scores a lot this past month especially with Winnipeg doing their best to choke their playoff spot away. It’s definitely a lot more interesting when the team is in it to the very end.

The Western conference playoff jockeying is absolutely insane too, anyone could face anyone at this point. Seattle’s probably the only team that can’t really move up or down at this point.

13 points points to make up down to 5 points to make up, makes me happy.
I wonder if the Jets and their fans are feeling the same pressure as us, knowing they may need to go 5-2 to make it.

All three teams are playing some really mediocre hockey, seeming reasonable thanks to loser points. The team that sucks the least in the next 7-8 games will get in. Was hoping for a heater like the Oilers are on, but out-sucking the other two teams may be enough to get in, which is the goal of the hockey club. Just get in and you never know. Over the last 20 games the Flames are in the middle of the two playing at .550 clip for point accrual compared to Winnipeg's .400 and Nashville's .600. Preds have a very slight edge thanks to the game in hand.

And they would make up 4 of them if they can beat the Jets in regulation on Wednesday

The Flames are 7-3-2 in their last 12 games which is a 109 point pace.

Yup, and we probably played one of our best crisp games of the year against LA, including Markstrom.

To me the final playoff spot will be won by Markstrom, Helly or Saros.
