It's typical for players to take a few days to weigh their options after getting eliminated.
8 teams were eliminated from the NCAA tournament on Thursday and Friday, and so far only one player has signed an NHL contract.

80k a year in the AHL
He'd make as much or more just graduating harvard and getting an entry level job in the real world.

What will his signing bonus be though?

Weird for people to worry when they said they wouldn’t even engage for 24-48 hours post loss. If it gets to Tuesday and nothing has happened, sure.

At this point, it just feels like him not signing would be the cherry on top of this awful season. Nothing going right.

Ive heard he's going to sign.
Unlike when Gaudreau signed there is less time pressure. Gaudreau needed to sign ASAP as Flames only had one game left.
Flames have 8 games left - so lots of time for him to get in a game and burn a year so dont need to rush as much.

Well minus the almost 300k over three years of the ELC he'll get as a signing bonus (based of Pelletier's contract). Also the "real world" will always be there for him.

Yeah, then he would have to do "real work" in the real world to earn more than 80k a year, instead of playing a kid's game.

I hear you. Whenever our luck turns, the karmic supernova will be a sight to behold (and will coincide with the Oilers falling apart for good).

I think people are getting worked up about something that hasn't happened yet. It's been a day.
He will sign.

I still haven't had an answer to my question.
Did Boyd sign yet?

Even Ryan Leslie said it would be about 24-48 hours. I’m confident this gets done.

The Flames have said they want Coronato to have time to absorb the loss and deal with related issues before signing him.

Absorbing loss is certainly going to help prepare him for playing for the Flames.

But he’d have to attend Harvard for two more years to graduate.
