Agree about the rebuild. But I fear they will try this again.

Agreed?

But I’m told the effort should make them win it, even when the better, faster stronger player is also giving full effort.

Are you going to put 100% effort into every shift when your coach isn’t giving you your best chance to succeed and takes opportunities to crap on his players?

Not trading Zadorov at the deadline was definitely a miss.

What to do with Huberdeau, Kadri and Markstrom if you are rebuilding?

I watch many other teams as well, this season, even the Kraken. I don’t blame you. Flames will always be my team, even if they moved, however this year has been extremely difficult to watch.

I think with the amount of expiring contracts next year you give the roster one more go with another coach. If they still don’t cut it next year you can make a haul at the trade deadline.

What a dive by Byfield. He gave a shove/cross check to Kadri. Zadorov came up to him and did the same.

My retort was based on the comment that the system could rectify the winning of battles. Was I not clear?

Byfield doesn’t get called for the shot to Kadri’s back which is why Zadorov dropped him. #### you and your garbage officiating NHL!!

Well you keep Huberdeau and Kadri. But if anyone thinks a team that has 8 of their starting 19 players on most nights over the age of 28 is going to compete anytime soon they are smoking crack.

Okay, I’ll admit Calder may be hyperbole. Still, he’ll be a top 6 player somewhere. Waste of a good asset thanks to Sutter’s love for the current plugs.

Haha oh I haven’t forgotten, that was a bad one for sure.
At the intermission though Francis reporting that Treliving is going to go sign Coronato and that part of the deal will be he plays a game this season in order to burn a year of his entry level deal… what a message that is to guys like Phillips who lead the AHL in scoring and do everything they asked of him.
You think Coronato is a better player today than Phillips? Phillips is better than Pelletier I think, personally. He wasn’t given a fair shot. Not remotely. He got tied up in Sutters ego thing, and Pelletier nearly did too before Treliving went and talked to him post- “The Interview”

We have too many expiring contracts.
If we go into the season with them, we’d flood the market and diminish returns. Also, this organization won’t sell if they’re within striking distance.
Commit to the rebuild this summer. It’s the time.

Good job Z. I’ll take that penalty all day. That penalty is worth it.
