Flames have 2 players who played more than 11 games for Gulutzan. It is a completely different team. And one of those two players is Michael Stone. For most of these players they played for a racist who had to be fired, a coach who came in on a temporary basis but who had success and was subsequently brought back and now Sutter. So I guess Sutter would be the second coach who was gassed (if he is) for performance with any significant number of these players.
I think most people are just blaming Sutter, not every coach that has been brought in.

If they went for veteran coaches from the start of the rebuild there would be a much smaller list

You are right, I am grumpy about the team. Yet I also don't want to hear about how great one of our divisional rivals are, how you got a jersey on day 1, how you have been cheering for them, how you hope player so and so ends up there when we are getting lambasted. This team is very different than the team last year. Who cares what coaches Johnny and Tkachuk went through. This isn't their team anymore.

I'm just frustrated with this season, more so than most in recent memory. Seems nothing ever goes right with this team.

We should fire the coach and rebuild.
This roster does not have the quality of foundation that Championship tier teams do.
Firing the coach and running this thing back would be a terrible decision.
Fire coach.
Rebuild.

One would hope if that scenario happened the Flames would trade a bunch of expiring contracts and try to get some young assets in the organization. But firing the current guy is so painfully obviously the thing that should occur we probably won’t do it.
