Hes just a loser trying to get a scoop so he is making things up.
He was being raked over the coals during the deadline because he wasn't the first to report a bunch of stuff and took shots at a few trades.
Anything to get a hit

Frank sure has been tanking his reputation lately around here. Francis must be worried there's another.

I would assume he would have targeted a centre? Or maybe just futures and sign Kadri anyways. Does he still dump Monahan?

He's probably right but who cares anyway.
Couples make decision together, that's called marriage. Anyone who wants to attack his wife over that is silly.
Be mad at them both for stringing the team along to the last second, don't be mad at them for making a life decision together as a family.

I don't really see what the big deal is. Every decent human will consider what their family wants when evaluating an eight year commitment.
There's no point in beating around the bush here. It sucks it dragged on like that, but everybody has moved on.
The people that make rude and unnecessary comments about his wife weren't going to change their tune either way. They continue to be morons.

As I said earlier in this thread that was the same Intel I got and that was well before FS came out with it. I don't believe he is making anything up here. As others have said though, he is a grown man with a new wife and they should make these decisions together.

Johnny Gaudreau made the decision to play cat and mouse with the Flames, got the biggest offer out of any team and choose not to sign here at the last minute, sparking the turbulent season the Flames are in.
He is a grown man, his wife is his personal life and I could really care less about any of the players lives outside the game. He left for personal reasons, would’ve just been nice for the Flames to have been given a heads up and not used as leverage.
I hope he has a great personal life outside the rink with lots of happiness, but i’d love nothing more to see him waste the rest of his career being a regular season player. Which is essentially what he was here. A regular season player. Johnny the hockey player can go F himself, but if I saw him on the street i’d wish him well.

Or he didn't have to mention that last part that Johnny went for a drive with his wife and called Brad to tell him he isn't coming back.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he made that statement. Plenty of different ways to word that, and I don't even know why its still being discussed by the idiots.
He knows how hockey culture works and people will attack his wife. It shouldn't happen but it does and this doesn't help.

Nobody is attacking his wife, or at least they shouldn't be. Inferring his wife was the main reason he chose to not come back is not attacking his wife, they have every right to make that decision together. It doesn't matter now, he plays on another team.

Ya this is careless, it is like beating a dead-bush on something the fanbase is already over with. No point in rehashing the details. Sounds silly anyways, like made up. Players make decisions based on their families all the time, maybe its cuz of Johnnys boy like appearance but there has been a ton of talk about his wife and that Johnny just bent the knee. We don’t know, he is a grown ass man and made a grown decision. Its over, these reporters just live off attention

I'd still do the Florida deal as is. But then you can flip Huberdeau as needed for assets.

Oh they will thats how society with Social media works.
Look at what happened with Kadri.
I see now reason for them to bring this up. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Yay! Back to attacking Johnny’s wife. Just what we needed. Thanks Frank

Maybe Gaudreau turns Huby into the 50 goal scoring RW that Sutter apparently wanted him to be

Oh for sure, he is clearly using it for clicks. You are right about social media too. Remember when everyone up North dragged Janet through the mud when 99 left?

The real question is does Franks wife encourage him dying his hair like a tin can.

I don't because I was a baby, but I do remember Chris Pronger and his wife being attacked.
Even reports of his rented furniture being torched.

I wonder how the team would look if Johnny signed in Calgary, and we still traded Chucky to Florida. I'd be ok with a return of Weegar, Reinhart, and a 1st, kept Mony, didn't sign Kadri, and signed a winger instead.

He's the premier NHL insider today and has an excellent reputation. The only people that don't like him are hypocritical Flames fans that can't handle when the insider is dealing the dirt in their backyard. Putting Francis in the same sentence is quite frankly an insult to Seravalli.
