One could probably assume it wasn't the exact same trade being offered for Dube.
Yeah everybody here wanted to see changes but also everyone only wanted to trade away bad players, old players, or terrible contracts. Not really how it works.

Honestly, I hate this mindset.
Lucic and Lewis are our two worst forwards, and when you have a coach that consistently runs four lines and shows an enormous amount of trust in them, then they absolutely do become a problem - especially for a team who leads the league in one goal losses.

I know Benson is highly regarded and Sale as well. But Dvorsky has a Je ne sais quois about him.
Like, getting into the top ten would be super for CGY. It's a rock solid tier.

I don't think any of Toffoli, Hanifin, Tanev, Zadorov, Lindholm, or Backlund are horrible players, and that is who most people wanted to move.
Personally I wouldn't want to move Dube.
