His update last night made it sound to me like nothing was imminent at that time.

I still think the Flames have set prices, and if the prices get met they make a move, if not they wait until the offseason or next year.

I don't think the GM is as desperate as the fanbase is to make a move or to move any of these guys with 1 year left on their deals.

And honestly that's probably good that he's not desperate to make a change just out of frustration with how the season has went. Thats how you move Jokinen for Higgins and Kotalik. And Phaneuf for Ian White and Matt Stajan.

Does that not hit a little bit of a "my expectations are really low" vibe? I really liked Loubo earlier last month saying that this team doesn't need to be mocked or ridiculed, it very simply needs to be held to a higher standard (internally).

I'm just glad they're not falling over themselves to add with a faint hope of making the playoffs. It can work ... the Oilers added Roloson out of a playoff spot years ago, but it's not the time.

I could see a fit in Seattle for Lucic on a playoff run, he can still skate and if they match up with Minny and Reaves he would be good to have on roster.

Tanev, Lucic + Flames 4th for Seattle 1st?

Getting a 1st from a team that is in position but could still fall out would be ideal. give them top 3 protected.

This team averaged 100% attendance from 2013-2016.

The only time in the last 20 years that this organization hasn't been at 100% is recently due to covid.

And right now the Flames are among the cheapest tickets for a Canadian team (I believe only Ottawa is cheaper).

I'd say it's more likely fan apathy kicks in when the team is in the muddy middle for the next 2-3 years doing the same thing over and over again.
