Would fit right into the Flames scheme of overpaid 29+ y/o's looking to ride out their contracts in cowtown.

Big/Slow/Sutter style of player, screams flames overpayment for sure.

What’s there to worry about? Flames hand out 8 year deals at 29 just to stay.

The Flames would have to trade away a big piece for him to fit. It just doesn't make sense.

Back injury was 2021. Last year played 80 and scored 35 points, which equals his career best from seasons 2 and 3 (plus 5 in 12 in the POs). Hasn't missed any time this year.

Would be a Hanifin swap most likely. Might not think he'll resign.

I don't get the sense that the Flames will be big spenders this deadline. I'm not overly concerned about that.

Won't be buying rentals. Players with term are on the table.

Hanifin is better than Parayko and doesn't cost a trillion dollars for the next 95 years

I'd look forward to a Zadorov Parayko pairing just for some huge crunch in the corner. Then once the first game was over we'd seriously regret it.

Please stop! The sad reality of it being right up the Flames alley is sinking in and it’s not a good feeling lol! Why can’t this team just commit to selling for one time. I don’t think we should be trading Kads or Huby even if we could it would be at an extremely tough cost and would be selling brand new contracts at their basement value. Sell the Toffoli, Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev type contracts. Heck take on a bad contract with the cap space realized to gain an extra 1st. This team should realize that there is enough good pieces in the system we could graduate now that will help stagger the contract structure of the team. I don’t think there’s been a better window for this team to sell in quite some time, especially with how highly touted this draft class is paired with the prices currently being paid. I’ll believe it when I see it though… really hoping I get to believe lol.

Philadelphia has let it known they are selling. Provorov could be on the move as well maybe?

believe it or not there is an opportunity cost to trades and you don't have to trade him for an expensive boat anchor

Well, one of the knocks on Parayko is that he doesn't use his size nearly enough, lol.

I could also see Winnipeg being interested in a player with term, and I like a few of their prospects in Lambert, Lucius as well as I’d take their first round pick this year.

Los Angelos has some nice prospects as well. Lots of teams out there still looking to make a splash.
