I like both Carolina and Colorado. I would be very happy to sell some excellent assets to either of these clubs, and pivot to cheering for them for the playoffs.

Carolina to get Pulju would be cool, but I have a feeling they are going to want to try him with Aho before moving on.

Lindy and Hanifin at 50% retained would return considerable futures which is what Calgary should be looking at. Add Toffoli to that list as much as I’ve liked him this year, we should be selling high on these assets especially with a arms race happening atm.

It has to happen now for it to make sense. Trade him during the 3rd period, Flames down by 2 and he plays 4 shifts in the last 10 minutes. Flames score 2, Pelt knocks him out cold in a line brawl.

Pittsburgh put McGinn and Friedman on waivers. That's about $3.5m in savings if they're picked off. I think they're trying to clear space for an upcoming trade.

Parayko is mediocre and on a miserable contract so if the Flames head this direction, I've lost all hope.

Doesn't make sense to me though so I think it's the Oilers.

I think a team we absolutely should try and trade with right now is Buffalo. Tuch is injured, they have cap space, they are on the cusp of playoffs, and they still have tons of draft picks and young players.

They can use just about anyone in any position right now.

I always liked him. I don't think he's dropped that much, surely. His counting stats have been pretty consistent. He has a big minus number this year, TBF.

His issue is his $6.5 deal signed two years ago, which kicked in this year. That deal is also cash heavy in the next 3 years (he makes $8M in those years).

He's typically a 30-35 point player, so he's a bit behind that pace right now (on pace for 28 points). He has hit those type of numbers the last 2 years. That's pretty good, considering that he's been a lot more defense-first since his first days in the league. He can play PP, or PK, skates well, and has a helluva shot. The concern is that he's 29, and has a pretty big contract with length.

He had a back injury and hasn't been the same since, his skating ability has decreased significantly... He's got a bomb of a shot if it hits the net like Stone... Not much upside here and that contract oooophhh
