Let's look at the second the shot is taken.
Admittedly I'm not a goaltending coach or expert but I'd like my goalie to be at the top of his crease here an attacking the shooting thats winding up, instead of having a foot still on the goalline / post. Also dont think he really get's square here on what was a pass the Flames deflected on a bit of a broken play.
Tanev does collapse way too low into the crease for sure which is an issue.
And now then the puck goes in.
Still deep in his net with a pad on the post. Makes himself very, very small in his butterfly, and I dont think he ever got square to where the shot came from (although that could be on Tanev collapsing too low).
In the end it's the same issues that have plagued him all season on these medium danger shots from the tops of the circles.
