Edmonton media does tend to frequently forget that these players are human beings when it doesn't work out there. It's pretty brutal how they run guys out of town when they've latched on to a scapegoat.

Adam Larsson also comes to mind with how he was allegedly bothered for having the "1 for 1" trade held over his head frequently in his time playing there.

Eric Francis has at least owned up to his mistakes writing unfairly about guys like Weimer

Guys like Spector take no accountability for their columns that have unfairly run ex Oilers out of town just for not meeting their unrealistic & delusional expectations that they themselves created

Look at how Spector deflected from Pronger calling him out for his ways with lame dad humor, as if it was intended as friendly banter, when it obviously wasn't. No accountability, no self awareness

They deserve every lashing from past club members
