How much did Hanifin miss the net by there?
Weegar didn’t look good on the OT winner, caught on his heels a little.
But really it shouldn’t have come to that. Goalie needs to make a save.
I was on board with starting Markstrom so maybe I’m as dumb as Sutter. But that’s going to be hard for Markstrom to bounce back from.

Markstrum doesn’t even look like he wants to be in the net . He looks terrified and lost on almost every shot . Even the ones he saves he is usually guessing , loosing the net , or looking uncomfortable
The Edmonton series broke him

It’s time to look at Sigalet / LaBarbara. Every goalie they get their hands on gets worse. Get rid of them before they ruin Wolf.

You have an 11-5-4 goalie in Vladar and you continue to play a guy that not only sucks this year but has 0 confidence. I don't get it. Give him 5 game run whats the worst that can happen at this point?

The OT goal was bad. Markstrom has to stop that. But the meltdown to even get it to OT was a team effort. Gotta find a way to win that game instead of giving it away.

I feel like we're getting into is it the coach or the players debate again on what's the bigger issue before Sutter came onboard.
Sure the team could've continued their 58 minutes of strong defensive play for another 2 minutes playing short handed, but your goalie is the last line of defense. Isn't it a reasonable expectation for them to do their job, and step up?
Even the first goal against on the breakaway. Make the save when your team needs it. It's all about the timing.

The sad thing is I could feel that coming in the final few minutes. The Sens started to push and the Flames started running around. Combine that with mentally weak Markstrom, and we leave 1 point on the table. So frustrating...
