Nice hypothetical. Moot point for the Flames, they'd never do it.
But for some team that would be sweet, especially for where those picks are likely to be. That's the kind of trade that wins you a Cup.

What’s all this now? I have literally never heard of this Johnny Gaudreau character. Just another game against a bottom feeder that is basically a must win. Not sure what people are getting all excited about.

Sutter is always this way. After games, it's like his mind is stuck in hardass coach mode and he comes across as grumpy and confrontational. His pre-game scrums tend to be a lot more thoughtful.

Reporter asks if it bothers Gaudreau that his former team is in a playoff race battle and his new teams sucks, Gaudreau indifferent about it. That sums up this guy's desire to win perfectly for me, good riddance.

I thought the question was ridiculous -- is it more emotional returning to Calgary seeing how bad Columbus is now? Ummm.... no?
What is he supposed to say -- I feel terrible because I made a terrible choice signing with a terrible team? IF ONLY I STAYED IN CALGARY!!!

The 2017 Avs were actually worse than they were the year prior, too.
The reality is, and Flames fans won't understand this, one tough year in the standings gets rewarded in the NHL far more than proudly being 9th place
