Having the second most points in the west since December 3rd is probably part of it

Crap looked at the score as it was 2-2. Just looked at final score, I see it was called back. ####er.

I feel like tonight was the game to try pelletier

less daunting opponent than Colorado and Tampa, easy one to sleep on with it being the last game on the trip

inserting pelletier might have provided some jump

Unfortunately, because we don't have any difference makers, we're just not going to steal a lot of games. To win, we need to play hard for more than 20/60 minutes; play the whole game like the 3rd and we could have had this one.

I've literally just gone over this with my brother tonight. It's Sutter. Plain and simple. I'm torn on if it's a bad thing this year though. Gets these kids a clean slate in camp and go from there. My hope is Zary and Coronato finally graduate to the big club next year.

He has been PPG for the last month or so with some of the best defensive metrics in the league. He was poor tonight but people are piling on.

He doesn't have to score 115, especially in a system like this

Pelletier or Phillips on the second line please. It can't be any worse.

Huh? Dube's playing well, engaging. Ruzicka has been very disinterested but

he is better than Dube? How?

But I also think part of the issue is Sutter's insistence on using Huberdeau's line as a cycle line, when Huberdeau's success game playing with Duclair and Bennett on an uptempo line. Lucic is playing well for the role, but the role itself is wrong. Kadri and Huberdeau deserve at least one opportunity to play with someone like Phillips or Pellettier who is going to win races up the ice rather than wall battles in the corners.
Agreed. If Lucic production is going to finally start slowing down, hopefully this opens up the opportunity to compliment an offensive player that plays with pace on that line. There's been production with Lucic on the line, but the ceiling is low and limited.

Dube was like their best forward tonight?

we will have to graduate a couple of guys given the cap situation next season

too bad their hand must be forced in order for it to happen, but at least it will

I suspect Sutter's stubborn arse will like his younger group next season a lot more

Should have been 2-2

Not sure how they overturn it after such a long look...there are many examples of that counting

Huberdeau might've been the best player on his line tonight. No idea why he wasn't out for the 6v5.

But calling back the Toffoli goal was the obvious call. We'd be losing our minds if it counted the other way.

If you expected Huberdeau to score 115 points again or even hit 100 you set yourself up for massive disappointment.

Last year was a rare season on a Darryl coached team for offensive stats. It just doesn't happen under this coach.
