McDavid causes so much incidental and sloppy contact that I am surprised that he hasn't been injured more. Eventually it will catch up to him. He skates through players and then complains when he gets clipped, as if everyone is supposed to jump out of his way.

every year, there is an alleged knee on Connor McDavid from a Calgary Flame that didn't get the look it deserved, that inexplicably no one with a set of eyes outside of edmonton managed to catch
it's just part of the usual parade of greatest hits that comes with a season of No Good hockey in edmonton

I watched field hockey for the first time a couple years ago when a friend’s high level kid played. In the penalty area (similar to soccer) it’s a penalty shot from the dot if a defending player stops the ball with anything but the stick. Even if it’s an accident. So you get attackers shooting at defenders’ legs to try and get a penalty shot.
This is essentially a lot of his play. He’s not trying to get by half the time - he’s trying to draw a cheap penalty.

Of course the Oilers get the first 2 powerplays and capitalize on the second. Two players and a powerplay. That’s the Oilers.

Two players, a powerplay, not 1 cup.

Or...and hear me out here...make them practice together so the less good players can teach the No Good players?
But thats just me...

I just meant that he was calling out a culture that’s existed since the Taylor Hall days in that article…
Don’t remember it ever being a problem for him before.

If McDavid does end up demanding a trade at some point, it's going to look really bad on him. All the time he has had as captain, and he has never been the leader to bring a team together. Is he going to join a new team and take an A, or no letter on his chest? Anywhere that's looking for a cup shouldn't hand him a C based on his track record, despite his ego probably just expecting and demanding that he wear the C.

I would actually think less of him if he stays as it means he doesn't care about winning a cup. I can't fault any player that tries to get out of that black hole of no good.
