Can you even imagine? What a human being. He knew he was going to die but saved the lives of all his students. Absolutely incredible, I can't even imagine what he was thinking those final moments watching his students jump out.

He might have been giving himself final closure on his Survivor Guilt. Having been through something so terrible and not being able to do anything about it; I can imagine he was saying to himself "I'm not going to just stand by this time around."
Hopefully his heroism gets officially recognized.

You have to wonder for the professor who saved his students how one can become resigned to his fate, and take control to save the lives of others. That has to be an incredible self-realization process, almost a form of super-humanism. What an absolute hero.

As someone said earlier, this is exactly the type of media attention the killer was probably hoping for, and he's getting it in droves. How unfortunate they are releasing pictures and such of the killer, and not more on the healing process or the community affected by it. Sensationalism at its worst.

I also don't agree with the fact they are saying "South Korean" Cho Seung-hui. Who cares if he's South Korean? His nationality doesn't matter, this has to be a social / psycological issue that could affect anyone of any nationality. You know the media will be out in full force to stir up debate over this issue. How unfortunate this will be for South Korea, considering that insane lunatic does not represent even a shred of Korea's otherwise wonderful people and culture.

Yeah, I agree, but it's something the media does all the time.
"Iranian citizen", "Black male", etc.
The sad thing is, the unaware in the US will automatically associate this person from South Korea (and the country of South Korea) to the crazed lunatic up in North Korea, not knowing that these are two separate countries.

Holy crap, I cant believe how big a problem this has become. Look at the dates, 13 school shootings between 1979-1998. 13 shootings in 19 years, then 1999 comes along; 42 Shootings from 1999-2006, a span of only 7 years, add one for April 16 2007. This is a very disconcerting snowball effect.

Ridiculous.
Contrary to popular belief, the majority of US citizens aren't a bunch of misinformed hillbillys.
The US knows better than most I would argue, the difference between North and South Korea...you know since their military was part of the war that protected the North from the South in the end.
