If anything a two week bye for the top NFC team might result in them getting a bit stagnant for their first game.
Is the 2 seed and playing NE/Miami/Pitts with them all on a bye Vs Baltimore without a bye better ? I’d much rather player the Ravens especially giving Lamar as little time to rest as possible

Plus risking injuries for your own team . Sure round 2 home field could be more important but at what cost

Bengals still have an outside shot at 1st seed, but the Raiders would have to beat the Chiefs which is unlikely.
I expect the league is hoping for Chiefs and Bengals win and a Bills loss, so 2/3 seed is all that needs to be determined, and I expect both teams might take a coin flip to decide that.
We see what happens this weekend

Every team that plays takes the risk of having players injured. I would guess that the league will work with the Bill's and Bengals to figure out a make-up time that both teams can accept. There were 9 teams this past week who were playoff bound and every one of them played their starters while the game result was in question.

I'll be surprised if the NFL doesn't have the balance of this game played. If I'm the Bengals or Bill's, I still want to finish as high as possible and play as many home playoff games as possible.

But I've seen suggestions go as far as a random number generator to void a random Chiefs game to set the top 3 teams based on their 16 game records.

The Ravens beating the Bengals would be the biggest fly in the ointment as it could than bring the 1/2/3/5/6 order into question as opposed to the 1/2/3.

I do think there will be up to like Plan G that will be implemented as soon as the Bill's, Ravens games are all done on Sunday combined with what happened in the Chiefs game on Saturday. With that result likely narrowing down the options.

Meanwhile some anti-vaxx Seahawk fan is convinced this has all been orchestrated to distract everyone from just how badly the Seahawks got screwed by flexing the Lions and Packers to Sunday night

And does anyone think the Lions - who have played extremely hard for 2 years for their coach , would lay down to GB if they are out ? They would love to ruin their playoff hopes

The Lions will try hard, of course, but it will always be different when it's "literally our season on the line and "let's ruin someone else's season". As for the AFC, set the field now and eliminate the #7 seed for this year, have the Bengals and Bills play for a second bye on Sunday and have the Ravens play the Patriots in a scrimmage or some ####.

I have all my vaccine shots and I think the NFL did the Seahawks dirty.

I will be livid if they don’t find a way to play this game and gift KC the conference / bye. Could literally cost us a Super Bowl cause one of our players almost died on the field? Bush league.

I have a feeling that declaring the game a draw is the most likely outcome. Either that or the game simply does not have a result and they use win % to determine playoff seeding.

But no matter what the league decides to do, there clearly is no outcome that everyone will be happy with.

That's valid. That game and the Packers vs. Lions should have been at the same time with the Jags and Titans on Sunday night.

But do you think Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and all the other elitists hit the zap button on Hamlin to intentionally cause this distraction? If you do...please continue. I have yet to verify it...but I'm sure there's at least one person on this planet who does.

It’s going to be a GB v TB NFC championship game. Because sports.

As a lifelong die hard Lions fan Seattle can take their lumps here, they’ll live. On Sundays we bite knee caps.

If ratings are soley what the league wants, putting the Bills now on Sunday night would outdo any other game all season.
Have Bengals Bills play on Wildcard weekend.

As a Seahawks fan just let me say this season was supposed to be a wash but the fact Denver has been so awful and Seattle has become a borderline playoff team has been a pleasant surprise to say the least. They get a top 5 pick and a playoff chase? Whatever happens on Sunday happens. This season was a win.

Next different scenario that has some traction, apparently, is using a RNG to pick one Chiefs game of the season that does not count, assuming Bills and Chiefs both win this weekend

lol that’s also a terrible idea. Can you imagine if it just “happens” to pick the Bills win over the Chiefs?

Not sure where the RNG option is coming from, most reports I see now are the NFL is down to two options:

1. Void the game or declare it a tie
2. Push the playoffs back a week.

The RNG is not a great idea, might as well go to a coin toss for the winner of Bills-Bengals instead.

I feel like just saying it’s a tie makes the most sense.
