Watched a portion of their game last evening (did not get the Flames game stream) and that is some of the worst center play played in professional hockey. Continuously blowing the zone, poor d-zone coverage and numerous neutral zone turnovers. And yet, they all just lash out and blame the defense group for all the shortcomings. Now their defense group has not been very good, but good defensive teams play team defense with strong defensive support from the forward group limiting odd man rushes and defensive zone breakdowns. It is just absolutely hilarious they refuse to make it stick with any of those guys and make those players hold any accountability.

Funny that Adam Larsson leaves and he becomes an extremely solid defender. Did he just learn how to play the game the last 1.5 years. Absolutely clueless up there.

On top of flying the zone early, when it leads to a scoring chance they always say how smart the player is on seizing that opportunity for that scoring chance. Never consider the scoring chances against, where the Dmen are out numbered because they have no support.

Another gem from the game last night was the kudos got for knocking the puck off the goal line, ignoring that Barrie coughed the puck up to create that chance.

As frustrating as that Flames loss was last night, watching the Kraken highlights just now cheered me up a bit.

Haven’t made one of these for a while; this was too perfect not to. Two-on-four (almost five) and all the (c)Oiler players’ eyes focused exclusively on the puck.

Kind of. He supports his old teams but really kicked it off was Bissonnette supporting the Flames and the two of them having a bet last year about who would finish further ahead. Bissonnette had to get a Peter Mansbridge haircut in the playoffs because of it.
