I have to admit I rarely enjoy seeing a coach get fired but when Opie’s day comes it’s going to be very satisfying.

I don't enjoy seeing coach get fired, in terms of Oilers coach, I kind of happy for them because they were let out of hell and still get paid. But this smug face, I hope after Oilers fired him, he never get close to another NHL team ever again!

No no no
He must never get fired. He’s perfect for them. Arrogance galore and too dim to realize he hasn’t won anything.

It won't help, lol!
He does it every year right around this time of season. I love it. Spector is over the top either way. It's either a pathetic effort or firmly in contention...

Every presser I see he just strikes me as a guy that was tormented in high school and now has been gifted the wonder twins, so his revenge on the world is acting like the smartest coach in the NHL. Holy little man syndrome Batman…

Yes this was the case according to HF. A few years ago he ripped the Oilers during a broadcast intermission (I happened to be watching that game as I really enjoy seeing the Oilers lose) and after that he didn't work the last few months of the season on broadcast intermissions. He was replaced on broadcasts by Stauffer who is bought and paid for by Katz. One thing I will say about Stauffer is that he's always weirdly complementary of the Flames.

Spector committing seppuku with those comments? Or a little bit of an "I'm an independent reporter with a brain" flex when he felt safe to do so? A lot of dogpiling on the coilers last night.
Spector is like that wimpy but nasty kid at school that waits for a dog pile on someone and then throws a punch from far back so no one sees.

Oilers fans just will not accept that McDavid, Draisaitl, and RNH are a massive part of the problem. Watched a portion of their game last evening (did not get the Flames game stream) and that is some of the worst center play played in professional hockey. Continuously blowing the zone, poor d-zone coverage and numerous neutral zone turnovers. And yet, they all just lash out and blame the defense group for all the shortcomings. Now their defense group has not been very good, but good defensive teams play team defense with strong defensive support from the forward group limiting odd man rushes and defensive zone breakdowns. It is just absolutely hilarious they refuse to make it stick with any of those guys and make those players hold any accountability.
Funny that Adam Larsson leaves and he becomes an extremely solid defender. Did he just learn how to play the game the last 1.5 years. Absolutely clueless up there.

McDavid is a -1 at home this year! 38 points in 21 games and a -1. He's basically a powerplay specialist. They'd be better off with an average defensive minded center taking his 5v5 minutes.

Such a fanatical fanbase. The extreme highs and lows are pretty similar to the Leafs fans/media in that they oscillate game to game, week to week from planning the parade to wanting everyone fired.
