In her interview with Det. Newton, E.M. said that she saw an older, well-dressed man hanging around Player 1 and his friends at Jack’s. In the application, he is referred to as M.M. and identified as a person whose “occupation” requires him to attend “functions such as this.” E.M. told police this man was complimenting Player 1 and told E.M. to “take care of him.” She said he was buying rounds for the group and at one point poured a Jägerbomb shot in her mouth. (The application shows M.M. spoke with police in August, 2022, but it notes he didn’t remember much.)

Sounds like police have decided 5 players could be charged. Also sounds like everything was redacted. I wonder if it will get out as to who the 5 are.

I suspect there are a bunch of people riding the gravy train generated by revenues from this tournament that will be staying in fancy hotels, eating in the best restaurants, getting premium seating who knew all about what was going on and have not been called to account for it. If they caused these problems or were silent watchers who did nothing, I do not want to support them.

Was viewership and attendance down at this last World Cup in Qatar?

I suspect all their commercial slots will be filled on TV. I would imagine there maybe traditional sponsors who backed out and got replaced though.

Not that I’m aware of, but I don’t really pay attention to World Cup viewership.
