It is quite the dumb article. I don't know what she was thinking. It sounds like a person moved to a new city, was jobless, probably thought her friends would be there like before but they are all busy now, and then just got bored. Who moves BEFORE looking at job availability?

Why would someone who loves going out every night after work moved to a house 30 minutes south of the city? Doesn't matter if it's Edmonton or anywhere else, she would have been miserable.

Who enjoys going out 5 nights a week, and chooses to buy a house with 2 master bedrooms on the outskirts of the city? Why wouldn't you visit for a week, do the commute, and check out the nightlife before moving, if it is so important to you?

You don't need to unpack this too much.
It is clear she is incapable to good choices.......she looked at a map and landed on Edmonton, ####ING EDMONTON as the place to move.

I am going to try and volunteer, we can't have this garbage remain in power.
First place I am plotting a lawn sign is at Yoho's place. Big picture of Notley.

What does 30 minutes south of the city even mean in this case? Like Mill Woods or Ellerslie. Or are we talking Leduc or Beaumont? A condo downtown or Strathcona if your goal is to be a part of the night-life scene.
For what she was looking for Calgary definitely would have been a better option. More of a corporate drinks after work culture and more of a cockail scene compared to Edmonton which would be a more 'blue collar' and university-crowd drinking vibe. But I don't think that distinction matters if Cactus Club is your go-to.
Moving without a job does seems wild enough, but moving to the Edmonton suburbs without a job seems downright insane for a single 30s-something craving social interaction

Yeah either she's really, really, really dumb or some of that's fabricated. Who says this about themself and then moves to Edmonton?

I’m a major extrovert who goes out three to five nights per week. I like music, noise and nightlife. I think I’d do well in Sex and the City.

Do they also have an article of a Torontonian that craved a clean, beautiful, mosquito free city that decided to pack up and moved to Winnipeg?

These people aren't Torontonians. They're from the GTA. But Mississauga ain't Toronto.

That article is amazing.
My cousin from out east messages me and she says we want to come to Alberta lots of money.
Me: Huh why?
Her: Jason Kenney has ads out telling people to come to Alberta for the jobs and opportunities.
Me: Lol he is an idiot to listen to the ad you have a good job stay put.
Her: We are considering it, Alberta sounds great with what he is promising.
Me: Be careful before you uproot yourself and your family it's not that amazing here and our government is in shambles and oh Jason Kenney is gone let me send you a video of our new leader.
Her: Oh Boy!! We should probably rethink this.

And the person in the article isn't even from Toronto. She's from the height of cramped suburbia that is Mississauga. (It's like a giant Airdrie).
Also laughed at going to Cactus Club nightly.
